Look he has had an AWFUL season but to say he has 1 foot in his NHL grave is a bit over board. Now if next season he does the same then I will agree

I really like the babcock idea, but let me bounce this off y'all...some coaches work well with youngsters, others with vets...some can get a team from the bottom to respectability, others can take a contender to the championship...

can babcock take a last place team full of youngsters to the promised land?...or would we find out that he has limitations when taking over a bottom-feeder?

We've used it for Grigorenko and some have for Larsson.

Personally I am not a Larsson fan but I can agree he hasn't been given much of a chance to succeed either

Hodgson is the only guy with a top 6 skill set that Nolan has been playing 6:00 minutes a game with Ellis, Kaleta and Dalpe.

I will say this. Nolan is definetly not the guy for young players. Zemgus Girgensons is a perfect example. Within the Sabres organization ,Girgensons is putting up great numbers on a bad team. But he has no structure,wanders a lot because he has not been taught and they have no system. He is ruining all these young players. Repo Numminem at the end of last year told Pegula,how do you have this moron as your coach

Ted Nolan is a laughing joke in the NHL for being a head coach. That is factual.he has no system,he openly criticizes the general manager,he doesn't look at one bit of hockey videos. He is considered a joke

word is that murray really likes luke Richardson who's contract is up at the end of this season...but he's never coached in the nhl and his teams have gotten bounced in the first round the last two seasons

Murray mentioned Richardson in interviews when he was first hired, so I don't suppose I'd be surprised if that's who we ended up with. On the other side of that coin though, I'm hoping that Murray learned his lesson from both Rolston and Nolan that sometimes success at one level doesn't translate at another. I'm just not crazy about bringing in developmental guys and handing them the keys to the family car.

I'm curious as to know what Murray philosophies are regarding coaching a hockey team. It seems that he's building a Western Conference team in the East, and you'd think that Nolan's approach of aggressive hockey would be what Murray is looking for. I just don't want to see this team digress back into the soft "goal-scoring" style that got us to this point in the first place.

I understand Sharp will be moved. But if I am Kane, how do you go back in that locker room,go around town ,that everyone knows sharp slept with your girlfriend. I am just saying,make a big trade offer to chicago. Stewart,zadorov,baptiste,at louis first and our 2016 first. They are going to havealot of cap trouble

I am all for earning your ice time but you have to be given a reasonable chance. Playing an offensive minded forward on your 4th line with a bunch of scrubs does nobody good.

Just like playing Pat Kaleta with 2 top line forwards doesn't make sense

I get it...am of the opinion that it would take a lot to ruin Girgensons, that's why he was the only youngin to stick with the big club these past two seasons...plus he jumped to the nhl after only one season in the ahl...I've seen a lot of progress in Girgensons game this year...my god, he was the team's top-line center at the age of 20 with no bonafide top-line wing men and he still has managed 15 goals and 15 assists
