Right, but I take "hockey trade" to mean a return of a roster player. Could still move some of the non-UFA's for AHL prospects. - Slump Buster
I think Stewart is the only one that can get us a decent prospect
I think murray would rather have picks (even if they're late ones) in the hopes he could hit a home run as opposed to mediocre prospects

(shrug) I could see him waiving it to the right team. Kings, Rangers, maybe a handful of others. Unlikely but not nearly as unlikely as some of the other things being kicked around (Hodgson trade, P Kane trade, etc).

Cole is a bum, we should stop thinking he's a savior. - SABRES 89
why not call him what he is, which is not a bum nor a savior. Just a decent hockey player. |

Not a chance, and it wouldn't shock me to see Stewart back next year if they move him. |

I don't. He always talks how he would prefer players 'further along in their development" . That's not more picks. |

It would shock me since they tried to re-sign him and they weren't close. |

Keep all of our crappy UFA defenseman because if we bring up Pysyk and McCabe we won't finish dead last.
They're already better than Weber, Strachan, Meszaros, and Benoit. - PassionBucket16
Weber & Strachan have been decent for us this season
Benoit has been too since paired with Bogosian and Meszaros keeps finding the back of the net lately! |

Any idea what the numbers were? I think the only way he comes back is if it is similar to what happened with Moulson last summer (grass wasn't as green as he thought it would be). |

Nobody that trades for him will give him....say 4 mill a year. I didn't say he would be back, just it wouldn't shock me. to give him more then 4 a year is a joke. |

I don't know the numbers, just told they weren't close. That could mean term, dollars, both...not sure. |

Hey,you stole my idea,lol. I said that earlier today,I like it - Buffalo39
I understand Sharp will be moved. But if I am Kane, how do you go back in that locker room,go around town ,that everyone knows sharp slept with your girlfriend. I am just saying, make a big trade offer to chicago. Stewart, zadorov, baptiste,st louis first and our 2016 first. They are going to havealot of cap trouble - Buffalo39
Found it. Pretty close. Stewart can be a throw in, sure and I see Bailey playing for us before Baptiste. |

Any return that doesn't start with our #1 is a non-starter. I think you'd get a dial tone before you got that far anyway.

In between periods of leaf game Elliotte Friedman wondered if Montreal would go after Stewart and Mitchell. Didn't say it was a rumor but was just speculating himself. |

Do they? CHI needs to address their cap issue, needs to build up depth, their top D pairing are both (if I remember correctly) 30+ now, Hossa is signed for an eternity and 2 extra firsts helps them extend their window, plus they get a legit 2nd line C (I'm sorry but Vermette ain't no 2nd line C) and a big, young Defenseman.
:shrugs:

Right, exactly. If you were Chicago would you trade him? Absolutely not. Lots of other ways to alleviate their cap issues. |
