A "rush job" would be getting a guy like Sharp. Another Kane-like trade is getting a guy that is just now coming into his prime (like Kane and Bogosian). There will be guys available via trade or FA.

Reinhart and McEichel will not both start at center next season. Just wont happen.

So it's been 21 years since the Canadiens won the Cup. How many GM changes have they had? Those 21 years look like Buffalo's (except Buffalo likely has more finishes lower in the standings)

Is it "success" by making the ECFs now, cuz Buffalo did that under the prior GM too. 3rd/4th place trophies are great now?
