I think adrenaline/change of scenery has a lot to do with it. He is also playing with a more competent forward group, especially with Byfuglien playing forward.

We have no idea if we did well or not. Considering only three of the seven players involved in the trade are playing in NHL games right now. Boogsian has looked decent as you could on a god awful team. I have no problem trading Stafford but right now Myers is clearly playing the best out of the three. I still say we gave up too much. I don't think we needed to give up the 1st. We could have used that to trade for another winger.

Unfortunately Myers production has been on a decline since his rookie season. TM needed to throw in the first because there is no hard evidence that Myers would be able to perform at a high level again (from an offensive standpoint)

Let it go.......BOGO is a better fit for our defense, Kane is needed on the Wing, Myers looks like Myers, letting him get involved with the offense show cases his talents, have you seen him lock down his own end? That's not his strength, that is BOGO's strength. I hope Myers does great in the Peg, BOGO is a Playoff Defensemen with passion, I take him straight up for Myers. Both players needed a new location and I have happy with both. We traded Stafford(3rd pick) UFA, Myers straight up for BOGO who MURRAY wanted. Then we traded very late 1st 2015, Armia/Lemuiex for KANE a proven power forward. If any of those three come close to KANE I will be surprised but I hope they all do, I don't care we targeted 2 players that fit Murray's Mold and to hell with the rest, we were loaded with "Prospects" which are always a toss up. We got proven talent/Young

Idiot hockeyinsiderr is saying we could only get a 3rd for Stewart. The guy isn't a respected source but just putting that statement into perspective. Anything less than a 2nd round pick OR a 3rd and a B prospect then Murray has MASSIVLY failed in trading Stewart.
