As I understand it, Peters is on the Sabres' payroll for this show. WGR is simply selling the airtime. The show is actually broadcast out of the studio at First Niagara Center.

That probably makes it even more embarrassing.

The two don't have to be mutually exclusive, though. Murray has stated he seeks input from his staff, including the coaches. Murray definitely has an idea of what he wants this team to look like, and he's willing to give up just about any and all assets to make that happen. It may be simply that Murray no longer lends much credence to Nolan's opinion as to how to build a winning team, if he ever did at all.

Trading away a guy like Flynn, who from all indications is a Nolan favorite, for next to nothing, in the wake of the supposed dispute over a guy like Pysyk, tells me Murray is letting him and by extension the rest of the organization who is really in charge.

And Michael, the one guy who seems to have an actual source within the organization (besides 89) - Buffalo39 or Buffalo1000. He stated a few days ago, or maybe yesterday (?) that Nolan is as good as gone once the season is over.

Theres no exchange between him ans sylvester when he gets excited about something. He just keeps repeating himself louder and louder and louder. Thats not a debate or a discussion.

Your post certainly has merit, but like you said, he seeks input. That doesn't mean he makes decisions solely based on one individual. He's the final word. Nolan isn't here to build a team. He tells Murray what players he likes and doesn't like and why. Maybe Murray comes back at him and says "we have/will have x amount of contracts coming up and Flynn is expendable due to x player because we see x player being a bigger long term benefit to this team than Flynn." There's plenty of speculation to be had, but I don't see Murray as being a petty, incompetent and stubborn moron where he trades a guy Nolan likes simply to spite him regardless of his value to the team now or in the future.
