This just confirms my thought that not trading him wouldn't be the most catastrophic thing in the world.

IMO Kessel doesn't fit into what Murray wants in his players but Phaneuf does. Kessel is a very good player but I think they want Phaneuf gone first and some team might be able to get Dion for less.

I always thought he got a bad rap. He's another good player stuck trying to carry a bad team.

I love how Regeir drafted behind the Sabres Tanking Season. He let Buffalo take the heat for tanking all season and then on the last lap he is going to pass us and grab 30th.

This is the point I was tryign to make, but 89 put it more clearly. If TM really wanted a tank, Nolan would have been fired 15 games ago for internal reasons and the roster would have been adjusted accordingly
