Murray is pushing this and sticking a team for Stewart.

Simple answer.

I want to see them approach every game trying to do their best to win and entertain the fans that have paid good money to come and watch an NHL game.
It may be some fans , some young fans first NHL experience.

I want to see them uphold the integrity of a game that has been being played since 1917 (NHA =National Hockey Association).

Here's the thing, and I think we can all agree with this. Everyone here wants players on this team to WANT to win every game. The difference right now is that all of those people that are pro-tank, want to make sure our roster is so bad that no matter how hard they try they CAN'T win (due to lack of talent and youth). Finding that balance that keeps the integrity in line with the losing.

I really wish I could explain in depth what a Franchise guy can do for a team. I've been with teams that finished close to last in the league, and then had years where they made the playoffs...and the difference in employee morale is unbelievable. Compare a monday morning coming off a 45-7 butt kicking taking your record to 4-10, compared to a 35-10 win when you're 10-4 is astounding. People can't wait to get to work, everyone is excited, people are pumped about everything with the team. Where-as, when you suck nobody wants to do anything...and all anyone can say is, "there's always next year."

I'll also add, when you land someone like McEichel...that kid who went to that "lousy" product this year...will gladly be happy to enjoy the quality of play for the next 10-15 years, no?

- Brand Awareness/Loyalty
- Kids becoming fans for life (you wouldn't believe over the lifetime of an individual how much it is worth to have them become a fan of your team)

The effect a player of this caliber has is astonishing really.
