Isn't it because they traded us 2 2nds for Moulson already??? This past year and this years? Didn't they trade their 2nd in '16 recently too?

Very possible.

Love what TM did with this Stewart deal. There is a massive amount of talent coming through the system in the next few years. Stockpiling for the extended future is something another team did for a long time to ensure their success (Patriots).

We don't need picks right now...we've got a ton this year. Not to mention, if we're a playoff team in 2017 and need to make a move for a guy that might help put us over the hump, why the hell not? More parts/options when we'll actually be a quality team is a winning formula in my eyes.

I can't believe that Calgary traded Braeschti (sp?) already.... even if it is for a Couver 2nd rounder that is likely a top 10 pick in the 2nd round... that kid has shown some very good flashes
