Interesting fact...there is no real NHL trade deadline only that players cannot play in the playoffs if traded after the 3pm deadline...

I think he did a satisfactory job. Nothing that would blow you away but he did what you'd want/expect.

As a matter of fact The Yotes did have a better deadline than the Sabres.
For a guy that talks like he does, I expect him to out perform Darcy/Maloney not arrive at par or slightly worse at the deadline.

See, that's not fair. Look what they had to work with: Vermette is a solid and well respected two way 2nd line centre. Yandle is top pairing D-man under contract beyond this year and Michalek is a solid 2nd/3rd pairing defenseman.

He had better assets to work with as we had already moved our big guys (Vanek, Pominville, Miller). Our best asset today was probably Neuvirth.

Yes, Darcy could have done all of this. The problem is that Darcy didn't do this when it was clear we weren't going anywhere. That's the point of getting worse to get better. It stinks but it is necessary.
