Anyway, I am a long-standing Sabre fan - dating back to the French Connection. Like many of you, I have ridden the highs and the lows over the past 40+ years. And I am sick of mediocrity. If the goal is to win the cup, then I am fully in favour of "the tank". Like 89 says, put tall piece of Swiss cheese in the net for the next 19 games. Matt Ellis on the pp and pk wouldn't hurt the tank either......

Well TSN doesn't shock me, they want McDavid on the Leafs but that's not happening. Everyone around the NHL didn't want the Yotes to stay in the league, the NHL ran them for how many years? but now they are doing it" the right way " and everyone is on the Yotes bandwagon and the Sabres are now the Anti Christ ? give me a break.

I just don't understand why there's a double standard. We're not doing anything any different than any of the other teams that have gotten high picks, so why it is a problem for us but not them?

It's pretty much what I expected. I was a bit surprised they moved Flynn, but it sounds like Murray didn't look to move him but did because he got some offers.
