Yup, I've been whining about this for years. Just ask every Non Cavs fan in the NBA wished the same thing, when they had a 1.7% chance to win the lottery which was one of Lebrons prerequisites to go home (not purely a #1 but a high pick) and lo and behold......
I believe they said the NBA has already tripled their revue in merchandise and apparel and tv deals are super hot so you can see the conspiracy theorist dreams coming full circle business sense wise
At least we have a 20% chance, so if we win we at least could say there was a 1/5 chance, but a 1.7%? yeah a webcast was certainly needed for that one - bberkey1
Yup, for the guy that Lebron wanted the whole time. Either way the pick is what he said he wanted and it got him back, so regardless of what the did with it, it still got him back
I do think Neuvirth will be back, who else is in position to offer him a true opportunity to be the starter for the next 2 years...and he liked his time in Buffalo. Clearly, these guys are drinking the Nolan Kool-aid though with their departing comments/shots at the tank.
I'd like to see himback, anyone who can manage a .950 over 10 games on this team, I think deserves the opportunity. - IonSabres
I think what he said got taken out of context. When listening to the live feed someone asked him something like "its looks like Murray is trading players to help secure last place, what are your thoughts on that?"
Neuvirth said that he didn't think that was the case, and could't understand how an organization could do that?
And then they kept playing that snippet to make i sound like he was ripping the organization.
Maybe i missed something else but thats how it looked to me. I could definitely see him back

He wanted his reputation back. He did not want to wear the black hat anymore.
I think guys like Neuiverth and Stewart understand these were business deals (even if we weren't tanking and were in say 24th) it's wise to get something from a UFA. Now they have the opportunity to play on a playoff team and if they really liked it in Buf they have the option to come back. Moulson comes to mind

Agreed. Even Neuiveth said that in an interview. Looks good for Murray to at least get all of his trades to playoff teams.

True, but I may be getting off point. I merely was painting my agreement that a broadcast of any draft lottery isn't a bad idea, especially when you have a 1.7% chance to win like they did, which of course raised many eyebrows
NHL and NBA could easily do that, I mean its 2015 it's not hard to stream something

I agree. And to be honest, I was really reaching to find an argument for my side of draft fixes when it comes to LeBron and Cleveland.

To be fair, the NHL still has problems telling weather a goal is really a goal or not.

I don't really watch much of the NBA, but the new commissioner has openly supported gambling within sports, and then when something highly unlikely happens like that, of course everyone is going to at least be skeptical.
I do not trust Gary Bettman one iota, but after that draft, I trust him 10 times more than the NBA

My counter argument to that would be what I mentioned earlier. TV markets, ratings and TV deals. If that draft was fixed, they did it right. They gave it to a big market. So why would the Florida Panthers or Arizona Coyotes be desirable to fix for?
Question for everyone that thinks the NHL draft is fixed, not necessarily you, just responded to the post:
If Buffalo wins the lottery, is the draft still fixed? And it becomes that the NHL loves Buffalo and wanted to give them the pick?
Need to powder my nose. Be right back in two shakes of a lambs tail.
