How do you know he played most of his games injured? - strongsupporter
Re Gorges
The team Goals Against for the year is 3.36 per game.
In the eight recent games Gorges has been out, it is 2.63 GA per game.
I think Gorges had a free ride all year.
What Kate fails to realize is that Buffalo made all of "those" moves over the past two years. How else do you get 3 1st rounders in this draft and 20 other in the top 3. not to mention the blockbuster trade this year and the best pipeline of talent just waiting to come up. What does Arizona have in their farm system? - RynoBull
The article wasn't about anything more than this particular trade deadline. Therefore the Yotes were big winners and the Sabres weren't. I wouldn't call them losers because they didn't have much left to trade.

Because looking at GAA average has nothing to do with the guy in between the pipes that has had over a 95% save percentage...

Interesting. A shade better than what we ended up getting but nothing that makes me want to kick myself. - Slump Buster
Plus it all depends on conditions salary retained etc.
Trading Neuvirth to the Islanders was smart IMO if Murray wants a shot at him on July 1st. He knows the Islanders aren't going to pay him the money he wants to stay with having Halak signed
coho has been our best player for the last week and still stuck on third line - homiedclown
Main reason why I dont feel an once bad for Nolan. He is a terrible modern day coach and should go back to coaching minors or riding amazing goalies for wins

Sure, but the same could be said of the B's as well. They can't dump 3 mill into a backup goalie.

LeBrun further reports that the Bruins offered two 2nds for Stewart, Neuvirth, and Brian Flynn…on Saturday. - gerbe75pts
So 2 seconds or a second, third, fifth, and johnson (who helps us finish 30) seems a wash.. plus what players were going for at the time holding out was the smart play.
