From the end of the last blog, this was a good interview with Benning(starts at 2 min mark)

Just watched the whole thing. SO glad I was at work while doing that. Man Benning is so monotone. He almost put me to sleep. But that said, I really like the fact that we now have a plan and we are acting on it. Not flip flopping trying to copy other teams.
You're actually listening? Who's holding the gun to your head? - Nucker101
Have it on in the background, they are extra annoying today because they received a few tweets from people saying they find them funny when they argue. It seems like they are really hamming it up today.
Sekeres is more or less not happy with the Sven pickup... and that they gave up the second round pick for a guy that will be given a roster spot rather than earn it. he was literally screaming his point across. I dunno, I think Canucks did well, Benning seems to know what hes doing so far.

Benning said in the interview that Sven was saying he wanted to work for his position in the big club.

Isn't Sven on the Comets now? Hard to be given a roster spot when the guy is in Utica.

Think he's talking about next season as Baertschi is not waiver eligible. I think there's a period of 12 games where all players are waiver exempt but, after that, he'll either stay with the Canucks for the entire season or play all of next season with the Comets.
There is never a problem with having too many young forwards in the position the team is in. - nelson911
I always get a kick out of how extraordinarily valuable draft picks seem to be when they are still picks, far less so when they turn into an actual person. The success rate at the NHL level of anyone past the 1st Rd is statistically poor. Baertschi is a somewhat known quantity several years more developed with real upside. To say that an unknown 18 year old drafted at pick #46 is a better option is silly.
