It really depends on what mgmt does with Ufa's and vets.
Sven, vey, jensen,shinkaeuk, gaunce mccann, virtanen and kenins all have a possibility of earning a spot next year, most are unlikely. If 3 of Matthias, dorsett, richardson, Higgins, Hansen, Kassian are moved I think it is possible to see both vey and sven in the bigs.

I think Sven buys another year of development for players like Shink, Virtanen, Cassels, McCann.
If Sven makes the team then we wont have to bring Virtanen or Shink early. Let them develop in the A for another year. Benning has said this before. There are no guaranteed spots on the team. If a rookie plays himself onto the team and forces a vet out then that vet will get traded.
I see Sven knocking out Higgins next year. Bo knocking out Richardson. I hope we don't do more then 1 new rookie next year.
We will already have Bo, Vey, Corrado, Clendeinning Kenins as 2nd yr rookies and if we introduce more then 1 rookie we will have Edm eske team. I have a feeling Hansen and Richardson are out if Mathias and Dorsett are signed. Burrows is a player this team needs in term of work ethic and character for younger players to follow.

Burrows does so much he's invaluable really.
Agree Jake n Shink need seasoning n no chance makin team next year
Jensen has to take the next step soon or get passed
Gaunce could bump Richardson easy enough if JB goes that route
Vey is at risk to lose his job n be odd man out as an extra
Higgins i figure gets moved cuz simply need the spot for competition
Kenins is a keeper n looking good
The young D can season a lil more
Next draft we need a RW or D whichever is better

Given his speed(a def need in our line up) face off ability(need) and stellar 2 way game. I'd say McCann is a better lock for our line up then horvat was this yr.

Yea you could see it... I wonder how much Matthias is gonna want... I would be leaning towards player like him and less of ones like Higgins. Kassian could go either way, you just know mgmt has something against him, but if he puts it together you're gonna want him.

Management doesn't have something against Kassian. They have been supportive and have been singing a different toon than the coach who seems to be the one holding the short leash.
