Seems to be where we are heading.
They apparently want a game manager right now and out of all the less than fantastic free agent QB's out there I can kinda understand this with that defense.
I think they know they aren't winning the Super Bowl this year but at least making the playoffs is now very reasonable to gain this roster some experience for ....

Gives EJ a true competition in camp.

I think they draft a QB this year in round 3-5. Cassel is here strictly as a stop gap. His job will be to not lose games, just like Orton last year.
