Good to see Barzal rising again. Kid is (frank)ing good. Crouse, I still don't understand. I know stat-scouting is stupid, but picking a guy from juniors hovering under p/g in the top 3 is stupid to me.

That's interesting, considering the fact that consensus seems to be that he'll be the big bust of this draft. |

Btw LB is the defensive version of RB... - Stripes77
Great. And how rare is it to actually draft a LB and get elite production out of him his first year. and BTW, if you really want to compare LBs and RBs like that, then we just traded a $1.5 million LB in his second year for a $10 million dollar RB with around 1500 carries under his belt and will be 27 when the season starts. Great long-term investment. |

First, after seeing these earlier I started to wonder. Who ranks these guys. Are they NHL scouts or other scouts? If they are NHL scouts, why would you let others know how you rank a player? Or are they just writer's own opinions.
Secondly, I see Carlo dropped to 20. He is a guy I'm really high on for our 2nd first, if we still have it at the draft. |

Heres the thing about McCoy and him being unhappy (allegedly)
One its a shock to get traded when you aren't expecting it.
Two its even more of a shock when it happens in the NFL.
Three its not about him being paid, its about his 2016 year where he doesn't have any guaranteed money.
Four they will restructure his contract where it wont be a massive cap hit my guess is around $8-9 million with more guaranteed money in 2016 and 2017. It happens in the NFL all the time. He is also the BEST RB in the game.
Five Kiko has torn ACLs in both knees. He didn't play last year the D was still top 5.
Six NFL teams know how to restructure contracts to fit all of their top players under the cap. It's something the Saints did to sign Byrd and Graham. The old Buffalo Bills (Ralph) was against paying his best players the money they wanted and I HIGHLY doubt Uncle Terry is playing it the same way.
Seven Hughes was gone regardless my guess with the restructuring of McCoy's contract there will be about $19 million left (after cuts and what not) to sign free agents and draft picks which should be plenty the Bills aren't going to be sinking $10 million per on one player.
Eight I would expect that the Bills work on Mario's contract and get him to restructure and extended so there will be plenty of money to resign Dareus as well.
Nine Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer say hey look at my Super Bowl rings...

I liked kiko a lot...the first 8 games. After that he was not that impressive and was no help against the run. Like Posluzny, leading a team in tackles looks good, but when the majority of those tackles are runs 8 yards down the field, not so much. Both teams take a risk. You can't really know until you see them in the fall. |

So he's 1 year older than Spiller...and I think he's had just a bit better production in the last 4 years. |

Yeah you know one that has had 2 major knee injuries...
Talk about long term investment there...
Also Nigel Bradham and Preston Brown say hello...you know the two LB's that played on a top 5 D something Kiko couldn't say.
Also that $10 million RB is the best RB in the game...Kiko is not the best LB in the game
Also Kiko is good but he is overrated by a lot of people in Buffalo. He had 6 great games and came back down to earth the rest of the season when teams had film on him. |

I'm not trying to be offensive at all, but please do a little research regarding both players and local and national media opinions of the trade. I think you will change your mind. |

Just revisited the Bennett trade and forgot how huge it was. Imagine that today. Trade say Fred Jackson, two 1sts and a 2nd for the rights to a player. That would be crazy.
The Rams by the way, ended up with 3 1sts in '88 and 2 in '89, 2 2nds in '88 and 3 in '89. How did they screw that up so badly? - adambuffalo
And a back that rushed for 2,349 yards and 21 rushing touchdowns (led the league) in the next 2 seasons. |
