It was essentially a good football trade. We traded from a position of strength for a position of weakness. Yes good rb's are a dime a dozen but you have (if not the best a very close second) a great rb in the lineup.

I wonder if they had ponied up this coin to Spiller how some would feel?

The Bills offensive line was one of the worst groups in the league last year. Incognito is a huge upgrade, absolutely, but there's plenty of work to do be done, and you can never guarantee when guys will have chemisty - ie: Levitre to the Titans.

I'm cooling down from this trade, but it was still absolutely unnecessary. Blockbuster, sure, but the Bills had plenty of other options to explore before pursuing this one.

Not true and not true. The first 4 games of the season they had the best lineman out, after that they had several people in and out with injuries. Also the 2nd half of the season when the line got healthier McCoy put up the 2nd best numbers.

Are line will be better than his was for most of the year last year. We aren't done yet either. Rex wants a good run game. He is going to ask for the best line you can get via free agency/trade/draft.

What bothers me is each time we lose a player in Buffalo suddenly he didn't want to be here and also is an injury risk. Ignoring the fact that Gronk(Super Bowl Winner) is a much higher injury risk and Adrian Peterson came back from injury and nearly set the all time rushing record. I could go on and on. It is noted that this is something the old Bills wouldn't have done. But this looming season IMO, was a throw away season.

They had a top 5 defense without him and now they added a Pro Bowl all purpose back for him.
