Stillman was there to I believe....had himself a pretty good career. Pretty good season in that cup win as well. |

Maybe this year DD and Pacioretty will actually perform in the playoffs.. Would change a lot of things for the habs for sure. |

For sure. Needs to take that extra second to ensure a good accurate shot. |

Biggest issue I feel he has is confidence to just make the play. Years of MT punishing young guys for taking even small risks is clearly ingrained in his subconscious. |

The point being that they weren't the big bad west and ran through a less demanding east. Its not impossible that with the right opponents a team can get to the finals with enough juice to offset any skill differential. Just look at the Habs last two cups. |

He also hasn't had teammates like that since. He had a lot of quality teammates that year. All went down hill from there for him. |

I found that he shot the puck more often the 1 game he played on the R/W. Finished the game with 1 goal and 2 assists. Also, there is no chemistry between him and Plekanec. |

We really going to reference the 93 team? I love this argument. What a terrible team that was with Vinny Damphoussee/Muller/Bellows/Desjardins/Keane/LeClair/Odeleine/Schneider/Savard. Piss poor. |

They had Roy and they were lucky in 93. I mean they won 10 straight games in overtime. |

So is it too late to see if they can get LeClair off his rocking chair for playoff OT games? |

Williams, Whitney, Cole, Rod, Ladd, and Stillman (for a bit) were there the season after.
05-06 was an odd year. Players didn't adjust well to the new rules right away and the amount of power plays were insane, and players put up ridiculous numbers. Canes were average and rode a goalie that has never been near that form again.

Again...Roy certainly helped. But if you recall...Montreal was having a fantastic season until a late season cold streak. Damphoussee had a fantastic year and playoffs. As did Bellows. LeClair was a beast in the playoffs. As was Desjardins. Muller was Muller. Etc etc. That team had 100X more talent and skill then this current Hab roster. It's laughable to even compare them. |

Outside of Roy....That team had HOF's and guys who should be in the HOF. This hab roster likely has ZERO. |
