The only thing I worry about right now in terms of this Sabres team and their tanking ability (not looking at outside teams for this, but rather just the Sabres as a team) is Lindback. He actually hasn't been that bad.
This Toronto game coming up is going to be a MAJOR problem. They are AWFUL!!!!!!!! They have basically quit and don't care. I can see us winning that game for sure.

idk...his whole situation was one big f-up from the get-go...not sure what darcy was thinking, but I do remember a lot of people clamoring for the rebuilding sabres to play their youngins - Michael Pachla
I was one of them...if they'd have stuck to the tank his first year, made the deals to get Pommer and Vanek out, kept Grigo up the whole year and had him in this year maybe the lad's confidence would be supreme by now. Sure he'd still be on a historically bad team but he'd have a much bigger body of NHL work under his belt to evaluate.
He might have been on the Tim Connely path, which is to say in the big leagues and no looking back, (hopefully) minus the injuries.
Now all we have is a handful of games as a result of many call-ups and no real picture of his abilities against NHL competition as he heads into RFA land.

needed time in the ahl more than anything, imo...unfortunately rules wouldn't allow it

he didn't do anything for me in his first nine games...I don't get it...a little to small and a little too inexperienced for his smarts to accommodate for his lack of size

Really depends on the pre-season but i'd rather him in the AHL as well.
Well it wasn't disallowed. They didn't count it originally. They reviewed to see if it went in. I think it might have but it was inconclusive. - Pierceme69
