I've been busy.

And it sounds like he's done with the Toronto media.

Couple thoughts:

Nolan - liked him during his first stint here. Didn't disagree with bringing him in here last year after the major shake up. But it's now time to move forward with a new coaching staff to go along with this new core coming in now and the next few upcoming months.

Evander Kane/Myers Trade - let things play out for a year or two? Period

Draft/Tank - wasn't on board in the fall, just not my nature! Now it's crazy not to be 100% in tank mode for either future star. It makes things interesting to watch the Oilers/Coyotes the next month.

Bills QB - hope Cassell is just a backup? My belief is that EJ might be gone and Whaley & Co. still looking at options? We shall see?

Bills TE - looks like they are inteested in Clay from Miami? Do we look to draft, or maybe Cameron from Cleveland?

McCoy for Alonzo - at first, was a tough call for me (I love Tiko). But Shady can do it all - run between tackles, catch the ball out of the backfield and hit that hole quickly. He opens things up in the passing game for Watkins! (See need QB).

Just some Sunday thoughts (Larry Felser)

Problem with the Bills we have a gm and coach who want make a splash rather than sound decisions. It's like 4th straight generation of GM doing that here. Making a splash is only good for offseason headlines.

LeSean McCoy and #Bills have agreed upon new 5-yr contract once trade w/ #Eagles is finalized on Tues, per NFL sources. Told it's a whopper.

I was hoping it'd only be for some chicken nuggets, but im fine with a little overpayment #dadjokes

This happens just about every year. Toronto media isn't his problem, the team's run of mediocrity during his tenure there is what's bothering him

Though I'll be curious to see how tough the media will be next year if/when they decide to tear it down and tank for matthews.

I hear ya, but guys like Mario & Kyle Williams aren't getting any younger. Unlike the Sabres, the Bills are are further along (defense), I like the aggressiveness now. Ralph (God rest his soul) for decades wouldn't spend the money until the 90's to take the team over the top. I like what the Bills organization is doing, NFL has more parity than ever th past 4/5 years.

A few tweaks to the offense (mostly the line) and the Bills could very well make the playoffs because of the defense. That said, we have to remember that they could be without Dareus for a bit because of the car crash incident last year.

I agree that Ralph wasnt aggressive enough. And I definitely appreciate Pegula without a doubt. It's kind of like the Sabres purchase 2.0. While I don't think McCoy or anyone else will be Leino(hmm came from the same city though) I just think Whaley is doing things just for the sake of spending money. I think you meant to say Parity, which I strongly disagree with. The NFL hasn't had parity since the late 90's/early 2000's. The last several years has featured practically the same playoff contenders and same lame teams. I think that the NFL is a parody of itself currently. I'm waiting for the Manning, Brees, Brady generation to move on.

It sounds like the bills are making a real push to make sure the new head coach gets what he wants but bringing in Cassel to sounds like another 9-7 season.

Why are people so obsessed with "winning" a trade? When you break up with a girl do you get upset when she hits the gym the next day? It didn't workout so you move on. I was a big fan of Myers but it was time for both sides to move on.

It is this kind of fear that prevented Darcy from making trades. What happens if the departed players have success? Who freaking cares? I hope they all do well. We got two players that we really wanted - enough said.

The guaranteed money is high, but the contract overall isn't too crazy I guess. But I don't pay a ton of attention to the contracts in football so I might be off base here.

I think the defense is going to take a step back next season. Maybe top-10, but I bet they aren't a top-5 unit.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. A friend of mine on FB said that Hughes is coming back. Not sure where he saw it as he didn't post a link or anything, so take it for what it's worth at this point. He's not the type that just posts stuff so he must have seen it somewhere.

Having yet another new coach for the D could be an issue. Or it could end up working out even better. It's hard to imagine the defense getting better than last year, but who knows.

Yahoo reported that Hughes was being retained. I think they are making a mistake letting Spikes go. Their run defense won't be as strong without him.

I liked the run defense with Spikes, but I feel like they need to find a guy that can do both run defense and pass. Teams pretty much know that he can't cover guys at all in the pass game.

Methinks LeSean doesn't hate the trade so much now. Uncle Terry lets his checkbook do the talking.

Its less than a 6 mill cap hit this upcoming season.
They pretty much cut his cap hit in half.
Well done.
