I'm beginning to agree with people that say the Sabres should just do away with the third jersey altogether. This one obviously was a disaster, and I didn't really like the ones before, either. They looked like a five-year-old's pajamas.

My guess, though, is that they'll do something like the Oilers did years back. They'll simply make the old royal blue uniforms their thirds (like they did in 2006-2007), and then eventually, those will become the main uniforms. The Pegulas seem to be all about "righting wrongs", although the current main uniforms are the furthest thing from "wrong". I like the darker shade of blue better, but it's probably because I've always been a fan of the Notre Dame and Michigan football uniforms as well.

I'm sure they could come up with something sharp. It's a nice change of pace if you don't have to cringe every time you see it. I mean, Steve Ott clearly loves it.

I wish I was in the position to retire at 26/27 years old.

There's a myriad of reasons other than concussions. Family. Injury. Career. Some players are simply happy that they saved enough money to be comfortable to raise a family and send their kids to school one day. Sometimes sports life isn't for all of them. Or sometimes you're Jake Locker and you get injured every time you get sacked.

I doubt it.
