Guys, Grigerenko came from a poor family(didn't even have running water), he was saying how he wanted to earn money for them playing in NHL etc...so why not work hard for them? I am an Amerks season ticket holder and have seen all the prospects for the last 25 years, Grigerenko is a bust, the guy acts like he deserves to be playing top line minutes and the first year he was here the team hated his guts, they couldn't stand him. His skating is very poor, when he plays he never goes near the net or works hard to get the puck in the offensive zone, he thinks it's like Junior hockey where everything moves slow and comes to him.

If you came from a super poor family and you wanted to earn money for them why not work hard? He's not going to earn much money in the ECHL. The excuse of how Darcy had him play too early is nonsense, the guy just doesn't have it!Brad May said it best when he stated that Grigs had NO zip to his game...My nickname for him is NoZip.

1. terrible skating and quickness
2. lazy lack of effort
3. poor attitude
4. not a high end talent

It's very funny most fans can't see that he is not a NHL level talent. First time I ever watched him in camp I knew he was a bust.

Kaepernick is horrible are you kidding, he's going to put one of his WR's in traction one of these days. He can't manage a game let alone move the team down the field.
- SABRES 89

I'm sorry but you gotta give it a rest. Kaepernick is a TERRIBLE QB. I'm not a fan of EJ but I'd take EJ over Kap every time.

If we somehow had a competent QB starting his rookie year, who then started the next year, this year, and we were in a playoff position at week 12 only to have him go down with an injury and be relieved by EJ, I guarantee you he finishes above .500 and wins at least 1 playoff game.

No one had any tape on Kaep that year he came in for Alex Smith, SF's defense was a beast and they were superbowl favorites all season long because of their "game manager" QB and their stout defense.

As soon as teams got tape of Kaepernick, much like Fitzpatrick, they exposed his flaws and made the team that signed him to that ridiculous contract look like asses and now their team is in shambles. They ran their coach out of town, kept the wrong QB and are letting their top RB and OL leave in FA. They traded for a GREAT receiver in Stevie Johnson (who, by the way, had ZERO drops last year) and now cut him because he didn't want to take a pay cut because they paid a bum of a QB too much money who can't throw him the damn ball.

EJ hasn't looked like a 1st round pick should, but he's been given a raw deal. He plays 4 games and they bench him, only to go 9-7. Let a guy play 16 games and if he doesn't become consistent, keep your team above .500 and show some progress THEN you bench him.

He played all 16 his first year and last season he only missed two. It was that middle season he was out a lot. He is only gonna get better with rex as HC. He will be talked about as a shutdown corner like the other big names this season IMO.

Kap is a backup QB. Once teams got film on him he feel apart. He is on a team that had an amazing line and yet he was awful last season. I'd rather keep a 1st and even a 2nd. Gilmore played amazing for most of last season. He will only get better under rex

You may be right, but I'm mad that we may never know what he's capable of without him:
1-getting the minutes at the NHL level on at least a semi-consistent basis 2-playing for a coach that can bring out potential 3- having to fear that if he does not play like a fourth-line plugger that he will be benched and 4-If he stinks then his coach won't rip him a new one in the media.

Nolan did say earlier in the year his skating had improved, that he was in great shape, and he's worked on faceoffs. I need to see more than 2 shifts then benched, then sent down again.

Considering you don't think Girgensons is worth keeping either, I'll kindly have to just disregard this entire post.

unfortunately we cant trade for one, zero in free agency, and zero in the draft by the time we pick. We will have to wait till next years draft or free agency which is a shame.

I'd start whoever has a better training camp and preseason. Which will most likely be Cassel. Cassel isn't terrible and I think he is a upgrade of Orton. Not much but a little bit.

Time to feed the squirrel: so who isn't a bust in the AHL or from recent camps?
