Always enjoy watching Dallas play. Should be a good game, regardless of standings. |

I'd imagine at this point Vinny is either getting bought out this summer or they trade him and retain some salary. I still don't get why Rinaldo is in over him. |

Problem is, finding a taker for him without retaining too much salary. Sounds like the few that were willing to take him last year wanted the Flyers to retain too much, which wouldn't help them out at all.
I don't get the Rinaldo thing though either. Some people are saying it's an even swap back and forth in the lineup... but at least Vinny plays with his head on straight and tries to hustle. With White being there and playing his role well, I would be fine with Vinny staying in the lineup. |

Playing Vinny at this point of the season is utterly pointless. Where was he when we were fighting for a playoff spot? Why play him now? |

The problem is lately when Vinny was in he wasn't giving you anything. He wasn't getting in on the fore-check and he just looked slow playing with Bellemare and Vandevelde. He was also making some bad plays and had some bad turnovers. Yes there is a chance he might pot a goal. But right now he is giving nothing.
I know people hate on Rinaldo but he is getting in on the forecheck hard and that creates some chances. He has drawn some penalties and his skating allows him to play with that 4th line.
No matter what Vinny and Rinaldo on the 4th line is the least of this teams problems and both have seen less time as Voreck, Giroux, schenn, Simmonds get double shifted there at times. |

I would like to see Manning get more ice. He played a steady game in Boston and did not look out of place.
He could be a nice replacement ( cheap too) if they move either Grossman or Schenn
( which I hope they move one) |

I assume that they won't play Vinny the rest of the season to avoid him getting seriously injured, thus making him more un-tradeable, OR being forced to keep him on IR, bc I don't believe you can cut/waive/release an injured player until he is cleared medically. He won't and shouldn't be on the ice again |

Can't cut or release a player. Waiving Lecavalier wouldn't do the Flyers any good right now.

Not sure about Phantoms " playoff race" but I would like to see Straka, Laughton, and Cousins over the last 10 games or so. When Grossman comes back CC should be the scratch not Manning.
No need for anymore RJ or Rinaldo....seen way too much of that |

Why not? The rest of the season is pointless... it doesn't matter who you have on the ice. Might as well play him and make him work for his money. |

This Phantoms playoff race is a myth. They are 12th in a 15 team conference. They suck too!!!! Yippppeeeee!!!!!! |

If you retained 50% of VLC's salary and replaced him in the lineup with some bottom-6 UFA for $1.5M or under, you'd be saving money while upgrading your bottom-6. |

I think he has a NMC, meaning you can't waive him. |

If he gets injured, the Flyers can't buy him out.
He's got full NMC protection, so unless they can find a team that's willing to trade for him & he agrees to go to, a buy out is likely the only way to get rid of him. |

Well there is no reason not to take a look at Straka and Co.
Wait... Chief just can't do it... He can't sit RJ for the sake of putting out some young fresh legs ..just not in his demeanour |

That's probably the deal they will have to make. Either that or one where he is attached to a better asset. |

In the case of Laughton, the Flyers need to be cautious of bonus overages, which could impact their cap for next season |

Berube can't play them if Hextall doesn't bring them up. |

There are cap issues for next season if they call up players from the Phantoms, of course at the same time the cap issues are overblown, and hyperbole. |
