"HE'S A SHORT PHILADELPHIA FLYER RIGHT OUT OF DRUMMONDVILLE IN LA BELLE PROVENCE. DRUMMONDVILLE WAS ALSO THE BIRTH PLACE OF ANOTHER SHORT FRENCH PLAYER NAMED MARCEL DIONNE. THE DRUMMONDVILLE VOLTIGEURS PLAY IN AN ARENA NAMED AFTER DIONNE."

Mike Reilly, a Columbus prospect, might not sign with them if he goes pro. Maybe the Flyers will get one of these guys after missing on Frolin, DeKeyser, Sustjr and Hayes. Seems like he could step right in next year.

Wasn't DeKeyser an undrafted FA a la Matt Read and Raffl?
I know it's tough, but put the sarcasm aside for a second*. Why exactly has RJ Umberger been exempt from the accountability thing until now? I'm not even saying he should've been scratched all season, but where other players have faced short term scratches for poor play RJ has played 67 games. Why is he different?
Ok, sarcasm reactivated.

Berube made a statement earlier in the year, that scratches were on an individual basis. What I take that to mean, is it's different reasons for different players. I think we have to look at what scratching a player will accomplish. I personally don't think scratching RJ Umberger would accomplish much. I don't think it will make Umberger better. I don't think it will make the team better, because the options to replace him aren't better for a variety of reasons. You can just scratch any player to punish them, but that's not really a good way to run a team or an NHL bench.
