There have been many things that I find questionable. You may not. Thats cool with me. You also fancy MacDonald as a bonefide top 4 d-man. I do not. We just differ. Its cool.

Dodging the questions. What kind of defenseman MacDonald is, has zero to do with discussing Berube as a coach and the decisions he has made.

The one thing I had hoped to see with Laviolette being relieved was at least slightly more balanced usage for Couturier's line. It hasn't happened. Obviously Sean has to be responsible for growing his offensive game, but once again we hear the organization say they'll try to grow his game, then stick him in the same situation.

Looking at that situation objectively, all of the factors have to be considered when looking at player deployment.

I have given plenty of reasons. The way he has handled his scratches. The way he has utilized his ice time and zone starts. His usage of Mason.

I get it. You like him. I just question him. I see a lot of stuff I dont like on the ice. A lot of stuff that I believe stems from the coach.

That's generalizations. The best you could come up with is using Rinaldo as a top 6 forward. I'm still waiting for the answer to how many times that has happened.

I'm certain that he does not have his core under him, and his skating is affected, and he lacks any kind of explosiveness to his game. Before the back injury, he was still able to make some power moves, go hard to the net, and was better able to shoot the puck. Since the back injury his game has rapidly deteriorated.

Are you certain that his back doesn't bother him and isn't affecting his game?

- MJL

Ill pose a different question. If his back truly is affecting him... getting healthy should help him? No?

Why not keep him scratched and allow him to get healthy. If it is his spondy thats bothering him.. conservative treatment says 4 weeks. Why play him?

More than once... which is infinitely too much. I dont need to answer anything else. I have given my generalized answers. Its now up to you to either agree and move on, or disagree and move on.

I don't think it's something that will get better. If it's spondy that bothering him? I thought you knew for sure?

All I'll say is that I'm available to discuss any of Berube's moves specifically at any time, in depth.

When I get home, I'll look and post the factual information on whether Rinaldo was played as a top 6 forward in any one game, and we'll deal with that, since that's all you're willing to post specifically.

By appointment for a reasonable fee?

I thought you were bothered by MDZ's 10 game benching? AMac's 3 different stints in the press box? VLC scratched in favor of Rino?

Nobody has to hold him underwater, lol. He's dead and drowned.

I don't agree with you even a little bit. It's kinda hard to tell what he can do on the fourth line with players who aren't very talented. I think it's a little sad when fans have to rashanize the preference of one player based on how bad their team is doing. Lecavalier has been scratched or on the fourth line all season. The first time he was scratched, he deserved it but after that, I don't think he's looked any worse then anyone else outside of Simmonds, White and Voracek on the roster. Giroux hasn't been Giroux this season. Good but great.

My mindset as a Flyers fan is that we need a bridge gap between just losing Kimmo Timonen and what Travis Sanhiem can be one day. Now, I'm not in love with Dion Phaneuf but at best he's a number 1 defenseman and at worse a number 2. As weak as the Leafs D is, I thought he played Giroux very well the last time we faced the Leafs. With the strange deals the Leafs have made in recent years, I don't see how you don't kick tires there. He's the only number 1 defenseman out there that's available. I think the Leafs just want to drop that contract and I think the Flyers can take advantage of this. Admittingly, I'm unaware just how deep this season's draft is but if it isn't as deep as 2003, the Flyers can afford to move Tampa's number one pick in a package for Phaneuf. Heck, you might even be able to move Umberger to the Leafs with it by convincing him that his buyout hit isn't very large and we're trying to unload that deal too. Then anything else along with Tampa's first and Umberger, you might have to sweeten the pot for Phaneuf because this is clearly not enough to hand him.

I'm not saying this is going to happen or even that its GOTTA happen but I think it's something Hextall should consider. Obviously if the Flyers think they can draft the next Corey Perry with Tampa's pick, then you keep it.

They better, if it's just a (frank)ing swap of 2nds or even just getting a 2nd this is a (frank)ing joke. It's still a joke either way IMO, but this is the joy of being an Eagles fan
