I would just rather look at a guy who could be here next year as opposed to guy who will be playing in a beer leauge or in Europe

Brandon Manning has been here awhile. He might be be a regular next season but right now we have healthy players ahead of him. Since Manning has been called up, some believe he's better then Luke Schenn. This is unlikely. I happen to believe CC can move the puck at the NHL level close to Streit and MacDonald. Definitely better then Schenn and Grossmann. So he plays.

He just hasn't been given a chance IMO. More physical than CC and I would like to see him play . I would like to see what kind of difference there is between him and Luke. It doesn't look like much but.. He hasn't had the chance to give a fair assessment.
Manning could be 2M plus cheaper option than Luke or Grossmann next year and do no worse than either of them

I'm just looking ahead to the summer, where we'll have a decent, sign Pavel No-name from over seas and guarantee him a roster spot, plus I expect Giroux to get hurt during training camp for the third straight year.

They'll never score on an odd man rush again.

Yes: breakaways count as odd man rushes.

Why is it that every time JR calls a guy out, he seems to be wrong. First Marleau, then Boychuk, now Mason

He is preventing Dallas from moving ahead of us in the points total standings, you know.

Before being called up Manning was 2nd among AHL defenseman in scoring and led all AHL players in PP points.

Flyers getting involved in pond hockey giving up chance after chance, Mason coming up large. Even though they were outshot, the Flyers got 3 or 4 grade A chances that period. Have to bury some of those. Shocking that the score is still 1-1 with the way it's being played.

We've seen Manning preform. It isn't up to us as fans to evaluate talent, they know what they have.
- SuperSchennBros

The current state of this team would speak against the brass being able to evaluate talent from top to bottom, but that's really neither here nor there when talking about CC, a player who didn't have a team earlier this season and has played 50 NHL games the past 3 seasons.

As far as I can tell, you lose nothing with Manning, might even gain a little something.

Streit is a 1B in my eyes. Schultz is by no means a 1A. Or 1 anything for the matter.
