Before being called up Manning was 2nd among AHL defenseman in scoring and led all AHL players in PP points.

The fact that people even want to see Brandon Manning says everything that needs to be said about this defense, and the only thing that makes this tolerable is the fervent hope that some of these replacement-level defenders get, you know, replaced

Not saying he would be a game changer or anything but this team has nothing to loose. Take a look at the kid and see if they want to move forward with him next year. He has played well in the AHL and he deserves a shot.. This is the perfect time
