Actually this draft has Matthews going first, with Chychrun going 2nd to Atlanta:

The Eagles may very well be a smoking crater when Chip is done and he'll just stroll off to a huge payday back in the NCAA. - Doc_Sarcasm
They might, but I'm sorry, I agree with everything they've done so far, even if it's unconventional, EXCEPT for not re-signing Maclin
I liked Shady, thought he was the league MVP two years ago, but I thought I saw some burst gone last season, and he's had a lot of usage. When RBs go, they go quick. As Bill Parcells said, you can't put tread back on the tire
Trent Cole was a warrior, but age and cap hit, as well as spotty productivity...man, that's a move you gotta make, too
Herremans is 32 years old, declining, at a position where you just can't be bad
I would've brought back Maclin, because he was productive. But WRs...man, those guys are out there for all to find. If a coach tells me he can replace one, it's hard to argue that

i'm still confused as to why foles was traded - 2Real
I'm getting drunk for Foles since he doesn't drink. And also hoping he lights the world on fire this yr and Chip is fired. Foles will win a SB before Chip does. Philly.com poll is currently 75 percent in agreement the trade was wonk. Adding the picks as well? Why would a vet ever sign there. Probably saddest day as an Eagles fan in 10 yrs, or longer. At least that team could contend. |

The problem is that everywhere you turn, Chip has created fresh holes in the lineup. There were already too many holes to begin with, and now there are more. |

Yes, but you seem to forget that this website has "draft" right in it's name. You can't compete with that. |

Man, Chip Kelly won 10 games with a defense that gave up 400 points and with Nick Foles and Mark Sanchez as his quarterbacks
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that 75 percent of Philly.com can't do that

I wouldnt care if he had no lips and a zipper for a mouth, as long as he could figure out how to properly structure a contract, evaluate talent, and restock a depleted farm system.

No need to rub It in.... But it's nice to know a Flyer fan somewhere didn't suffer watching that crap tonight - 3flyerkids
I missed it too I have missed most of them since around Christmas. I just check the scores and standings to see where we sit at the draft so this is what it feels like to be a leaf fan .... |

You're serious? He took over a team that finished 4-12, wins the division, loses the playoff game because of his sorry-ass kicker who he didn't draft, and has only been here two seasons!
You cannot be serious with that |

Had this been the case, I'd certainly acknowledge his prowess as a GM.
I would, however, still hate his goofy zipper mouth thing. |

Also Foles put them in a position to win. Special teams let the kick return to the 48 and Swiss cheese d lost the game. Not Foles/DJax/McCoy/Maclin.
I really do not understand these moves. I'm trying, but I don't. |

The coming back up is us winning out the last 6 meaningless games to draft 5 spots later, right? |

I expected, as early as last July, that the Flyers wouldn't be a playoff team.
As such, I'm surprised how pissed off tonight made me. I was a bit apathetic after the losses to Boston & New Jersey, but as much as I felt they weren't a good team, I wanted to see them go down swinging.
If this is the best they can do, maybe Hextall should go scorched Earth this summer. |

i still just dont understand how bradford, reading the chips simply as they are right now, carried more value than foles.
