Morin would be allowed to come up if his season was over if I am not mistaken. Otherwise it would be an emergency situation only. I could be wrong.

I wish they would at least try this. If Lecavalier is nothing else, he's at least a shooter and a damn good one. We don't have a single guy with a natural hard and accurate shot. I'd call Voracek more of a playmaker and Simmonds more of a net front presence.

Would be interesting. I could definitely see Las Vegas picking up Vinny, Umberger and Amac during the expansion draft. They would need to be cap compliant and they are NHL players.

The problem is, he HAS been given multiple chances and failed. Maybe if you give him an increased role, he finds some success.

30 days of Straka comes out to what, ~$150k? Cousins for 30 is about $130k.

~$280k off the offseason cap (that they probably won't need, since I doubt Hexy goes nuts on July 1 anyway) seems like a small price to pay to see what these kids got, IMO.

When you start adding that to what they've already spent on call ups, add in either extensions or Q offers, it all adds up. Has nothing to do with Hextall going nuts on July 1.

I'm in the large minority, but I think Umberger has at least progressed to "adequate bottom-6 NHL player."
