Berube has a bad roster, but there's better options than this. The defense is pretty much a mess, regardless, but I'd do something different up front. Not a fan of Schenn with G & Jake. Not a fan of 36 in the top 9.

Sadly you probably wouldnt even see much of a difference on the ice. Even Giroux and Voracek have been more than ICE COLD. Its hit the critical stage. IMO.

Im trying to figure out how he scored 20 goals last season. MAYBE Vinny had more impact than we thought. Schenn-Vinny-Simmonds. They all had 20+ goal seasons.

I'm not against calling up Cousins/Straka/Hagg (for 9 games or less). But I'd rather they sit Rinaldo/Umberger and let Vinny try to find some magical elixir to draw some value.

I agree with letting him play simply because the season is over and he's earned the right to play by virtue of who he is. No GM in the league is going to be swayed by his performance the remainder of the season. He is who he is now, a (just about) 35 year old player on the downside of his career. That's life.

The bigger problem is that we traded Hartnell for him.

There is no sugar coating it. We traded a fan favorite, a guy who was extremely well like, a guy who was consistently productive for RJ Umberger a gasp of cap relief in the future.

Terrible trade. Hartnell has more goals than Umberger has points.

Really? Adam Kimelman said Grossmann was out about 20 minutes ago. Not that it matters, it's deck chairs on the Titanic at this point.
