Wonder why Hextall didn't blame the coach for that? - MJL
When has a GM called a coach out publicly, and that coach stayed around? Either Hextall could have talked to him behind the scenes, or he already has his mind made up that Berube is gone this offseason and is just waiting it out..
Silence on the coach doesn't mean the coach is doing a swell job.. Sometimes silence is when one has to worry. |

It is very disappointing. Seeing them 2 pts out of the wild card at one point to now being just about mathematically out of it is frustrating. This team has shown flashes of greatness, but the whole season was take a step forward, two steps back. I hope Hextall has a plan in mind to address the issues. - GudasNew
i'm sure he does, and i'd like to see him adhere to his plan as much as possible. unforeseen things can happen that could cause him to deviate. we'll see. |

Does anybody know anything about this Danick Martel kid they just signed? I see he's second in the QMJHL in scoring. Does this kid have NHL upside? |

That is what I have been trying to say...
The offense is a bigger concern right now then the defense just because we have multiple defensive prospects on the way but nothing on offense.
That needs to be a priority . - opeth_pa

The Ashbee should go to MJL. His stance on Berube is the most unwaivering defense this city has seen since Howe. - hereticpride

i'm with you.
the eagles seem to be doing this too, why, exactly i'm not sure. perhaps it's because the coach/gm is total buffoon. |

Sounds like he is undersized but a goal scorer.
A guy who watched him play yesterday said he was determined and would do whatever it takes to get it done type.
I don't know about NHL upside.
I wouldn't mind seeing him on Giroux's left wing for the remainder of this season to find out though (which may not be fair to the kid, but I'm desperate to see another goal scorer on the team at ths point). |

Does he have to wait until the QMJHL season is over? I'm not sure if an overager signed mid-season has an exemption clause that other CHL players don't. |

If you were to start a team right now, with all players at their current age and contract status, who would you take first at:
center
wing (can be either)
defense
goalie
For me, I'm taking:
center - Stamkos
wing - Voracek
defense - Weber (biased, probably Hedman)
goalie - Price

Thanks, I was intrigued by the 2nd in scoring thing even though he is an undrafted overager. I see he is a center. Do you know if he can play wing at all? |

seems like he's goid fit there... the yotes ate half his salary... tell me again how the flyers making that deal wouldve not befn good at all? ... unreal - JoeRussomanno
Cause our first round pick is worth three times as much as the Rangers'. It's a deal only a contender would make. |
