I have no problem if you or others want to move picks to try & move up, I would even consider it but feel to get a McDavid even should the Flyers pick 7 or 8 would still be a crazy high price.

Outside of Anothony Mantha, Dylan Larkin and Kyle Quincy, who else have they really drafted in the first around? Late picks are their first round picks, so why not trade back and get more? We're not the Detroit Red Wings, trust me. The recent Cole and Zidlicky deal was not a figment of my imagination. I'm sure they would like to graduate everyone from Grand Rapids but they know that isn't realistic. If they had another nick Lidstrom ready to go, I'm sure he'd already be on the roster.

Flyers are only at year one of the five year plan... Kings started adding those players and making deals when they already had their Kopitars, Doughtys, etc that they got by drafting patiently.

I think it's a little a weak myself. The roster isn't that good. The Coach is bad. If we're really awaiting a "Five Year plan", then he really shouldn't be that surprised by the result of this season.

I can think of worse teams after the lockout but the LA Kings did put all there hopes into Jeremy Roenick post Flyers and Craig Conroy post Flames. That is a bad mix. So what Tomahawk just pointed out sounds about right.
