I didn't mix hypotheticals up. I responded to posts that discussed the hypothetical of the team getting better and stronger in the future. My opinion on this conversation was about Giroux's level of play on the current team.
It's not contradictory to say that if the team is good or bad in terms of looking at what kind of attention and checking Giroux is going to see in games, as the team's best player. It's just the way it is in the NHL. - MJL
So all you're saying, in the most circuitous manner, is that a team's best (forward) player will face the opposition's best checking line and shutdown D pair every game?
I think everyone on this message board would agree with that fact.

There was nothing circuitous about what I was saying. I said it directly in offering my own opinion on Giroux and the season he is having.
Raffl/Read - Schenn - Voracek needs to happen. - Tomahawk
We can't mess with the lines now, not with all the success the team has been having and the playoffs on the line...BUT, if things start to go south and it looks like the team is going to miss the post-season, why not try building a better mousetrap on the first 2 lines?

Good point, but I still want Giroux at Center. I don't see any reason to move him to Wing in my opinion. - MJL
My biggest reason is BSchenn. I think he's played better at center than wing. Moving G to the wing would let Schenn play a position he seems more comfortable at.

I guess that's where we disagree. I personally don't see any evidence that he's played better at center versus wing.

i don't think he has played better at center. Agree to disagree on that.

They should mover Giroux to the wing one game. See what happens. WHy not? This season is done anyways. Put Giroux on the right of coots and see what happens. I don't want to watch the flyers the rest of the season if they're just gonna keep rolling the same awful lines, with the same lackadaisical attitude.
