If they can get a first round pick for him, I'd be on board. Not sure they can though.

I agree, I think he might be worth an early 2nd.

At least the Blue Jackets won last night. Within 8 points of us with 2 games in hand. Jersey stayed 3 points back with a game in hand. Both are the only two teams with a realistic chance to pass us in the standings.

I believe if they do we would have the 6th least amount of points for the draft. Maybe we wouldn't need as much to trade up to #1.

Tampa's 1st, Giroux and Jake, plus next years 1st.

Hell the only superstar on this team is Mason.

Frustrating game, frustrating season. I'm 0-28 seasons since I started following this team.

I think it's likely Schenn is moved, Vinny is bought out, and Umberger stays. I think Hextall sees Umberger as useful.

Heading to Ottawa Sunday to watch what I thought may be a game with huge implications (three weeks ago). Now I'm just hoping the boys can finds some offense and bring the "Hamburglar" (not RJ) back down to earth.
Fingers crossed Mason plays, but I'm dreading Razor may get the start in his old stomping grounds.
A few years back the Sens and the Flyers racked up a bunch of PIMs....Sadly I feel like its pretty much all I can hope for now...
Here's the question....do I wear my Flyers jersey or save myself the embarassment?

If the Flyers were simply an awful team it would be more understandable. They are not an awful team. They are an inconsistent, flawed and sporadic one in a league of parity with only a couple of true elite teams, a couple of deserved bottom feeders and otherwise minor gaps from the upper-middle class to lower-middle class (which is where the Flyers are). Overall, they've been a good team at home and one that can't buy a win on the road.

hard to buy wins when you can't score 1 measly single (frank)ing goal. mason deserves a hell of lot better.

With all thiis debate whether B. Schenn is better at center, or wing seems pointless. He isn't good at either.

Maybe the Flyers should move him to defense, he can't be worse than his Brother.

- PLindbergh31

would like them both gone.

this team is not a fun team to watch. There is nothing exciting about them. There is no pleasure derived from watching any member of the defense do anything at any time, except perhaps MDZ. Watching your favorite team should be fun and exciting - and there simply is none of that right now with this team. It's depressing.

just like those miserable psalms...

on another note, i'm going to see Red Army tonight, as it finally opens here in abq. it will be far more entertaining than the pile of poop on skates we've been witness to this season. not even spotting them 50 points would add any excitement to the game. do you have any beer?

You won't see Vinny bought out. The cap penalty is too burdening.

I don't see whoever is selecting first or second moving off their picks. The potential there is just too great.

Even if a move was considered, assuming by Buffalo and Edm/Arz, the Flyers unfortunately do not have enough to shake either of those two loose.

Or not..

We went the route of of trading for a a can't miss in Lindros..it didn't work out.
Their is no sane person anywhere that would actually thin trading 2 1st round picks and Giroux and Voracek is a good idea.

What player even costs anything close to that???

I'm pretty sure Jake and the 7th gets you pretty damn close to Eichel.

Just as an FYI - I was more voicing my frustrations over the team and their current position in the standings. I wasn't throwing out a trade as in I would do such a trade. I was just seeing what others thought with regard to scenarios it would take or cost and what would be too little or too much.

Thanks Bill. Well, I guess the Flyers know where they stand now. They love the .500 mark, and fear the playoffs.
Last night's game was as painful to watch as the past few games have been. The players let the other team get behind them, they shoot at the guy standing in front of them or high off the glass, they love their own zone because they play most of the game there, they pass to invisible players, they try low percentage plays, and on, and on. It's hard to find who's specifically at fault, when the whole team isn't on the same page. The coaches are frustrated. The players talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. There is plenty of blame to go around for this team's lack of focus, unwillingness to stand up, and lack of pride in their play.
Hmmm...now to figure out if I am going to be able to stomach next season. New players? Stuck with some bad contracts? Bring in some young guys? I would be surprised if Mason sticks with the team after his contract is up. We are starting to look like the Leafs, and Oilers; except we have at least one goalie for now.
Golf anyone?

Why didn't it work out. I thought it worked out more than fine. It was a shame that injuries took its toll.

I'd make that Lindros trade again tomorrow. And the day after.

Knowing how Forsberg turned out I wouldn't.
Not knowing how Forsberg turned out I would.

Other than Rinaldo I am hard pressed to think of a current player i would move Giroux, Voracek and 2 firsts for.
