last week after the whole alan walsh twitter thing, melnick spent 3 days talking about how they'd get to the bottom of it when walsh would have his regular spot on thursday.

before the segment melnick even boasted about how he doesn't prep for interviews so all his questions and answers are raw.

he might have wanted to prep for that one becasue it went like this:

melnick: so about that twitter thing with Parenteau

Walsh: I won't talk about that today

melnick: ...

when you think about it, it's actually more entertaining than it would be if it was a real radio station. you that Marinaro can drop the hammer on Therrien whenever he wants right?

Why the (frank) would anyone in Montreal want to fire Therrien?

Because he suppressing the dazzling offensive skill of Lars Eller and instead prefers to play to the teams strength? Goaltending and defense.

oh yeah, but like he says himself, marinaro is tough but fair and only rags on players who deserve it but rewards them with praise when they do well

Imagine all the sales.

All jokes aside, I don't think McDavid has the hype Crosby had before he was drafted. Meaning, I doubt kids go out and start buying Leafs jerseys and become Leafs fans if he's drafted by Toronto like it was the case with Crosby. The number of new Penguins fans (not only in Pittsburgh but all over Canada/US) was quite impressive.

in fall, we found two drops of water on the floor next to the washing machine so obviously that meant they had to be replaced immediately. I was hoping it would signal a change becasue she was actually very specific about what she wanted in the new set but alas my optimism was short-lived.

if they want to sell jerseys they can just sign Wendell Clark and Tie Domi to one-day contracts

I'd say the hype almost rivals Crosby. His numbers are pretty sick this year, especially considering he had a broken hand in the middle of the season.

I do not think McDavid will be as good as Crosby but he will be in the Tavares range.

Leaf fans are looking for any sign of life in the franchise. I would bet Jersey sales would set records actually. But no...by no means do I think a fix is in. I think the odds the Leafs get him are 1/10.....or 10%...basically what the odds say they are.

I only have a Clark jersey.. The last good choice the Leafs made on a draft pick, it was 85..

In Toronto, yeah. But not the phenom Crosby was from a marketing point of view, league wide.
