Thing is, when they see your portfolio and decide to call you for an interview, it's because they like what you do. They don't call in 50 people just for the sake of meeting 50 people... they basically want to know how cheap they can hire you.

My favorite is job postings that ask you to submit salary expectations with your resume. They're basically asking candidates to eliminate themselves immediately so that they don't have to waste time reading your resume and scheduling an interview before finding out that your idea of "competitive salary" and theirs are about $25,000 apart.
