Cody Franson is the best player in the league, love what he's doing for the maple leafs right now. - Bigzby
I thought everyone plays better once they get outta tronnna?
Franson 3A in 14 gms, +2
Santorelli 1A in 14 games, -5
We got Leipisic, a 1st, and a 6th for that? |

Crouse is a little over rated. He looked terrible at the beginning of the year until Sam Bennett returned to play with him. He's riding coat tails of someone far more talented than he is. - ILoveLamp
yeah. Crouse wouldnt have even cracked 40 pts if bennett didnt come back.
21 pts in 9 games, i think the wrong sam got picked at number 2 |

Well Leipisic is not exactly tearing it up in the AHL ( 2G, 4 A in 12 games), the 6th is not worth much so hopefully the first rounder is better than Tyler Biggs |

He's also a monster playing against 16 and 17 yr olds... Need to throw a massive grain of salt at players with his size... They SHOULD be dominating. He's really not.

still top 5 in rookie scoring. 6th might not be much, but the first in a deep draft is, especially with nashville sliding. these guys woulda walked for nothing so yeah it was a great deal |

never understood the love Santorelli got. there's a reason he's playing on a 1 year deal for half the league average. i think he gives an honest effort and that likely made him stand out amongst the current group of Leafs. |

to me he is a ritchie type who is a bit better defensively. we just can't go for a guy like that when we can grab a 2ppg center |

Yup, and with this bunch, that's a big deal.
And not like people wanted hig for 2 nd line or anything, but 3rd liner for $2M per is good value. |

Let's hope they get the pick right and draft some talent, not a big meathead bust like Biggs. |

the first is a good value, no matter what the team does with it. a pick in that range could be someone who spends their career in Latvia, or it could be Max Pacioretty. |

This is utter horsepoop.
Our two best forward prospects outside of Nylander (Brown and Johnson) are both 6th round picks.
Some people here wouldn't know value if it whipped out it's Richard and smacked 'em with it.
oh and good morning |

yup. and this draft is being compared to 2003 where guys like Parise,Getzlaf,Perry,Burns, Kesler and Richards all went in the bottom half of the first rd.
Eriksson,Bergeron,Weber,Carle and Backes in rd 2 |
