I see Lowetide is reading my posts.
Teddy Purcell. Actual NHL player, this issue is that he’s overpaid. If Edmonton can include him in a deal—perhaps retaining some salary—I imagine several NHL teams would be interested in adding a perfectly useful veteran. - Dangles13

must've only been a little fractured. - ChetManly
4 inch fracture from the base of my tibia up. Some stupid (frank) made a tackle that he wasn't capable of and landed with his cleats in my leg and his full body weight behind it. I think part of playing through it is that I typically wear a wrap/brace from a combination of previous torn ligaments/high ankle sprain which kept everything where it needed to be. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're making it sound like Provorov doesn't have many of the same elements as Hanifin. He's also a brilliant skater with great defensive instincts, he just excels more at shooting and having a physical presence.
But don't take my word for it:
At the end of the day I think it just comes down to stylistic preferences. - MaximumBone
that's how u took it, not what I implied.
you explained why you think provorov is better, and I explained why I think hanifin is the better choice. how was my retort any different?
as far as the shot and offensive capabilities, don't take my word for it;
"Offensively, Hanifin is superb at carrying the puck or making outlet passes through the neutral zone. From the backend, he sees plays develop and sets up formations and cycles in the opponents end. Dictating the powerplay, Hanifin has a great shot that I’ve seen used numerous times"
biggest difference is that hanifin is happy to make the simple play. I think that's what separates the offensively minded guys with average defensive skills and a high giveaway ratio from the better two way defenders who might score at lower clip, but also have much lower goals against per 60
stylistic preferences I can agree with. |

I don't know if anyone read Gregor's article on ON about Hall but it's an interesting question. Both Roy and Nuge's lines are producing fairly well so it might be beneficial to play Hall with Lander and try to spread the scoring out. |

That is the most likely combo, however I could see Nelson rewarding Lander for his play. |

I just read this great piece by Willis:
We can’t look at this thing short-term. We have to develop these guys the right way. Leon’s got deficiencies in his game. Darnell is a little bit older, he’s got a little bit more experience, I think, maybe not at the NHL level. But there are going to be some deficiencies in his game going forward. We’re committed to making sure that, like Oscar Klefbom—he came up and it was a pretty seamless transition. If you go down to the American League and you’re dominant down there, then when you clear that hurdle, then you’re ready to come up here and it’s much healthier for the team, rather than (living with) a bunch of youthful mistakes that we’ve lived with for far too long.

That's why I have faith in MacT, he knows how he wants to build the team and he knows that it will take time and patience to do so. |

I think it's the matter of management admitting what needs to happen. Hearing them state that is nice to hear as a fan. Most are aware it's not a quick fix and that the talent needs to develop. |

good post
side note;
the sabres thread is the new black.
amazing. its gone full cray since their latest few wins.
the new one is that the rest of the teams in the league are mad that they might get mcdavid and are colluding to start their backups so that buffalo might have an easy win against them so they gain points and drop out of the mcdavid race.
no joke |

I think there can be a few moves made that will still pay off long term and I hope MacT doesn't sit on his hands and augments the team with some leadership. |
