Disagree. I think Schenn needs more time. Simmonds is good but needs more consistency in his game and Grossman has played well for Philly. Despite the bad team Grossmann is a team high +6 wit 11 points. That is pretty good for a stay at home Dman on a horrible team.

As for Mike Richards, the guy is done. I don't believe that skill erodes but he obviously doesn't take the NHL seriously. Anything that is preventing him from being an NHL player is mostly physical, the other part would be lifestyle. Holmgren gets a lot of poop from people but the Richards and Carter deals were great for Philly.

Obviously trading veterans for younger players is going to tend to look good years down the line. Is having Couturier, Voracek, Simmonds and Schenn in 2015 better than having had Carter and Richards 2011-2014? The Stanley Cup banners at Staples Center and the current Metropolitan Division standings all say no.
