Bishop might be too old (28). I do think he'll call about Vasilevskiy though.
Murray mentioned he's talked to some teams about young goalies & would revisit in the offseason. My guesses...
Allen (StL), Gibson or Andersen (Ana), Subban (Bos) & Fucale (Mtl) all come to mind.
Sleepers might be Pickard (AVs) & Mrzac (wings)
I also think we'll go after O'Connor, who's gonna be a free agent as soon as the season for Boston U is over.
As far as how old he'd go, my guess would be 26, which would include Bernier. He's a guy I've wanted us to trade for forever. He's doing pretty decent on a horrible Leafs team that's given up. I think he'd be a good backbone while our young defense develops into one of the league's best. - jdfitz77

This is the biggest game in 8 years for the franchise. It will have a playoff like atmosphere in the arena. Every single person minus a few who just don't get it rooting for Arizona. |

Yotes win in regulation puts them up by 7 with 8 to go right ?
Or did I math incorrectly again ?
Edit: They've already played 74 games. Nice ! |

As much as I like the leafs losing, I hate how they're going to get Strome/Marner/Hanifin from it (they're only 5 pts up on edmonton I think).
Next year too. |

Isn't it possible for them to fall out of the top 5 with this whole 'Bettman Lottery' joke of a draft system ? |

Because once you see the same guy bring up the same point more than 30 times, no one gives a poop anymore. - TheSabresTaco
To be fair, this is Tim Graham, who has yet to broach the subject.
Now, he's interviewing college professors to see if what the Sabres are doing is "ethical" or not. |

This in the comments pretty much sums up why he would touch on it:
While we are talking ethics, let's talk about the media. The underlying goal of media is to draw and retain readers/listeners/viewers. Media manipulates stories and editorials to sell news instead of reporting facts so that the audience can make a decision. Many times not reporting an opinion of what they feel is right -- instead, what will make more of an impact with the audience. An entire industry is spent digging emotion out of the audience by falsely broadcasting their "idea" not to educate, strictly because it will attract an audience. To me, that is unethical. |

If the Yotes win tonight, the Sabres will have to finish no better then 3-4-1 in their final 8 games to clinch 30th. |

the draft lottery is a broken system. Until it gets fixed I have no problems with teams exploiting it |

Jones from LA.
Lehner from Ott.
Bishop from TB.
Those are probably the obvious ones, I would think.
Who else? - grand-magus
it was brought up either earlier this week or late last week that LA is strapped for next year and offer sheeting Jones 3.5 and Toffoli 5.5 per (9 mil total) puts LA in a spot to choose between the two or let them both walk. I'm not sure trading is needed to get what you want...it may come down to money which we have and several teams do not...

For all we know, the fix has been in for a decade or so
Now they can really be creative with the fix since more teams are in the mix |
