I think ultimately Nolans biggest weakness is his lack of an efficient system. We don't have a lot of talent, but part of possession is positioning, and we're terrible there. I think long-term we need someone who is both a motivator and an x'es and o's guy.

I honestly don't get this soap opera stuff at all.

Now there's all this talk of conflict between them, but it's also fully possible they're smart enough to not just understand they're both doing their jobs, but to even think that's a good thing.

Despite "insider info," i wouldnt be surprised to see Nolan coach next year as a reward for his performance. Everyone in management knows what the deal is. People who think otherwise are naive. Nolan likes seeing some of the players he likes gain personal achievements, but im of the belief GMTM told him hes going to get a pile of crap roster and to just try to make the best of it.

I think Trottier handles x & o's. They did get better on the power play. This trap game is probably all they can do with this crappy roster.

The 06/07 Sabres did with 308. Which is the other.


Too Bad we don't see more teams like this. Hockey os way more fun when a team is scoring 300+ goals a season
