And that can't possibly happen without what has gone on with management, hence why many of us are on board. - stashu
Believe me, I'm on board as anyone. However, nothing about yesterday felt right. I thought about going to the game, in large part because I had a few friends that were going, but I ended up working late instead (comes with the territory this time of year). I still followed, and went into our break room to catch the game every once in a while. Nothing about it seemed right. I'm not "ashamed" of rooting for them to lose, but something didn't sit right with me when the likes of Jeremy White come out and say they had no qualms about it whatsoever. A couple friends who went to the game told me afterwards that it was definitely the strangest game they've ever experienced. Right now, for me, it's frustration that we've even got to this point.
I also do think this will put a mark on us. I don't think it will be too big of a deal, but I do think we will garner a little bit of a reputation for this, the same way Philadelpha fans are known for booing Santa. Ultimately, you can laugh about it, but I'd rather that not be us. |

Just wish there was away to track all the anti-tankers and forever ban them from buying McEichel jerseys. Giving the tankers a hard time all year and not seeing the big picture should have some repercussions. The fans who supported this all along should have rallied together and formed a group and given first opportunity for playoff tickets for the next decade when the team is ready to compete. - adambuffalo
I would bet my entire life savings that those who were anti tank will have a mc d or eich jersey and on top of that will boast how they wanted the tank all along. |

All will be forggoten if we get top 2. Happened in Chicago happened in Pittsburgh. WIll become a forgotten peice of Sabres history just like the Germans from 1939-1945 - hubie
Every season there is a last place team. Don't recall there ever not being one. Yes we are working on our second in a row. Enough peices are already in place and should be on the team next season. I don't think it will be 3 in a row. |

Mine may be available. I was supposed to go but leave for Cancun that day. My friend may not want to go. He said if we have 30th locked up he will, but who knows. I could always talk to him about if if you're really that interested. - HonkFortheGoose

Doesn't help that we have 2 games against the yotes this late in the season. Seems to be the opposite of the so called must win games to make the playoffs.
Odd feeling for sure. |

BHH swears he doesn't listen to the WGR guys and yet I always see him complaining about them on here.
Personally I think its great radio. His rants are gold. I laugh half the show. They go so off the edge that it makes me wanna actually tune in most mornings. Idk about you guys but i'd be pretty bored if they just talked sports and didn't put any emotion in it. |

Anti tankers simply want integrity. And as far as the players and coaches are concerned, that integrity exists. That's all anyone should give a damn about during this process. Tanking is all well and good in this particular situation. Anti tankers just want the Honor For Connor. And they'll never root for the team to lose. That's their prerogative. Not like fans in their homes or the bars have any effect on the outcome of the game... and they hardly have any effect at the arena, except insulting the players. Whatever. 8 games, take it to the garage so this ethics bullpoop comes to an end. (frank)ing sick of it. |

I too wish that they could lock this up as soon as possible so the fans can go to a few games and show the players that we do care. The players (like Weber) must not take the reactions at the games personally. It's not like the sarcastic cheers fans give when their struggling goalie finally makes a single save or like the Leafs fans tossing jerseys on the ice. They need to realize that fans are not rooting against the players, but rooting for the loss. We are still fans, and hope we get a chance to show it before the end of the season. |

Some people think they're an 'embarrassment' but you can't argue with the fact that they're an award winning radio station. They'd have been fired long ago if their ratings were bad. |

I can list a bunch of strange games the last few years though. I don't have all the teams and dates down totally but strange games aren't new.
My buddy scored 200 level tix from work in 2012 I believe. I think we played Dallas?? All I know is it was the beginning of when we got bad and we hadn't won a game in over 2 weeks. The lady at the coat check said I was the only person she saw smile on the way in. It was weird. People wouldn't even make eye contact with each other.
I remember another game in 2011 when we signed Leino and Erhoff and we were supposed to be great but we weren't anything close. I remember trying to get the 'Lets Go Buffalo' chant going. No one joined. I finished with "This place is like a library" and a bunch of peope laughed and that was it.
I remember the Oilers announcer that year saying he has never heard 18,000 people so well behaved. We've had a bunch the last few years were it just seemed like people went just to be somewhere. Like a trip to the mall where you didn't intend to buy anything.
Anyhow, this should all be behind us soon. |

They really aren't that rude to callers either. Sometimes Howard cuts people off when he is frustrated but I would be to listening to some fans call in. |
