I was at the game and I was a little upset with some of the fans in sec 307. Other than the clear cheering. People hoping for offsides every shift etc was a bit annoying.
Ive tried to watch these games as a fan of hockey rather than just a Sabres fan. Mike Smith made soem real nice saves so I was cheering for him in that regards. Again all will be forgotten once the season ends.
HOnestly the highlight of the night was the legitiamate 10 sitting in my section was very easy on the eyes thoughout the game lol

She played college hockey, she knows more about hockey than Melrose. She was a goalie too and believe it or not most goalies turn out to be really good coaches because they know the game very well.

Wow, the Leafs are a consummate mess. And I want no part of Kessel.

Believe me, I'm on board as anyone. However, nothing about yesterday felt right. I thought about going to the game, in large part because I had a few friends that were going, but I ended up working late instead (comes with the territory this time of year). I still followed, and went into our break room to catch the game every once in a while. Nothing about it seemed right. I'm not "ashamed" of rooting for them to lose, but something didn't sit right with me when the likes of Jeremy White come out and say they had no qualms about it whatsoever. A couple friends who went to the game told me afterwards that it was definitely the strangest game they've ever experienced. Right now, for me, it's frustration that we've even got to this point.

I also do think this will put a mark on us. I don't think it will be too big of a deal, but I do think we will garner a little bit of a reputation for this, the same way Philadelpha fans are known for booing Santa. Ultimately, you can laugh about it, but I'd rather that not be us.

I love seeing our young talent do well. Risto's shot and Ennis' goal from last night were fantastic. I want Grigo to succeed. Larsson, Zadorov, Girgensons of course. With guys like them scoring, it comes with mixed emotions.. big picture it's terrible for the organization if they're scoring the GWG but it's great to see them growing their games. Like I said. I can't wait to cheer for wins again.

I would bet my entire life savings that those who were anti tank will have a mc d or eich jersey and on top of that will boast how they wanted the tank all along.

I never realized if you aren't born in Buffalo and stay for your entire life that you can never ever have an opinion that matters.

Also, Weber was literally the one person who had no right to make those comments like he did last night. His actions ended up costing that team the OT winner with his dumb penalty. For him to make those comments really made me cringe. If it came from any other player I would have understood, but from him was actually comical.

The guy is an embarrassment and I am embarrassed that he has a voice to speak on my behalf acting the way he does on air.
Top it all of, he was not even born here.
Only lived here for half of his life, same as White.
WGR needs to put some personalities in that studio that are at least listenable.

Eh, they're the one team that IS actually tanking. Toronto had playoff hopes this year. They go on an early losing streak and things look doom and gloom, then they start winning again and pop back into playoff contention. Then, news comes out they get the green light to "scorch earth" and start losing like the Sabres. They claim they're rebuilding and sell off spare parts at the deadline.

Where is the media calling them out for tanking? What the Leafs are doing is tanking. If they were rebuilding they wouldve gotten rid of Lupul, JVR, Kessel, Phanuef, Bernier at the deadline. No. They are tanking. They kept the valuable pieces they had and are purposely not giving a damn in order to lose and get better lottery odds in hopes for McDavid. Because if they do get McDavid, they got the pieces to be a threat. It couldnt have been more obvious than when the Sabres played them a week ago or so. Their players didnt give one poop about the game.
