I'm fairly certain that all Sabres fans agree with this. |

Same here Hat.. Same here. I want to win again . - cabin
I don't expect them to be playoff contenders next year. I just want to be able to openly cheer for my team without being ridiculed by some other fans. I get the purpose of this year. I do. But it hurts a lot to watch the games and not care how they turn out. |

Boy was Darcy prophetic when he said be ready for suffering.
I don't think any of us were prepared for this kind of suffering.
It's been UGLY.
As far as those coming up with potential lineups for next year, the only Gionta should be on related to hockey is the 4th line, and even that is a stretch.
Larsson deserves 3rd line duty and Ennis is one of your top two RW players.
You could easily play one of Reinhart, Grigorenko, or Girgensons on RW if you choose. |

Is there an unwritten rule about commenting on other teams' blogs? (seriously asking)
I rarely do it but last night's OT cheerfest in Buffalo made me sick to my stomach as a fan of the NHL. - Bluey
You can keep it on your own fans blog then. Us Sabres fans have had enough arguing amongst ourselves about this. We don't need someone from another fan base to come in here and speak their mind they can do it elsewhere. Some players don't like the way the fans reacted? Oh well they can take their millions that they make because of the fans and leave when Free Agency hits and say it's never about the money or they loved the fans when they were here. This team has been stuck in mediocrity since 2007 and most of us fans are sick of the product that's been put on the ice for years. We pay our money we can do what we want. |

I am excited for next season. I don't know how good we will be or how the young guys will progress. But I know it will be better then the last two. And Nolan will be gone. |

Get used to it. We are going to be good and small talk and trolling with meaningless nonsense like this will be the norm. |

Ennis has never played RW in his career. He needs to be flipped for a RW. |

I'm not so sure Reinhart is here next year. |

Your indignation really really hurts. I think that the only thing that may ever heal the wound in my heart is to watch McEichel slaughter the competition for the next 10 years. |

There is not my fellow crazy about your favorite sports teams fan.
Simply stated for future reference, you may want to stay away from coming into another teams blog and immediately attempt to insult the entire fan base.
That usually does not go over very well, otherwise you are fine Bluey. |

Sabre fans around North America need to stop fighting (and disrespecting) each other. Instead, rally and support each other. Things aren't going to get any better/easier for us whether we pick 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Twenty nine other teams fan bases are hating us for (hopefully) executing a plan to rid the team of mediocrity. They can throw out all the names they want - "shameful", "dishonourable", "losers", "putrid" or whatever else they want to call us. I'll throw out two words to describe where my head space is at - "the future".
You stay classy Sabre fans....

Anyone watch Minnesota (Hudson Fasching) get blown out by Minnesota Duluth? Or BU (Jack Eichel) vs Yale? BU looked like the Sabres for 2 periods. |

I personally embrace the TANK!!!
It's been a tough year, but if this all results in a Cup or 2, I am all for it!!
I don't understand the HUGE deal that media is making about us TANKing.
Pittsburgh did it, Chicago did it, and so on.
When it comes to the Sabres, everything gets blown out of proportion.

Neither Pittsburgh nor Chicago were this public about it, either. That's what's rubbing people the wrong way. |

Another good one is complaining about our moving UFA's. Isn't that what everyone is does at the trade deadline? Another one kept posting about that and Pysyk that should be up here, even after Pysyk took sick with that mysterious illness that they still don't know what's wrong. They also justify the Leafs and Arizona purging their rosters suddenly and accuse the Sabres of doing it for 2 years. I guess they don't know what a rebuild is. The first 2 are more of a tank move than a rebuild. It's all about envy, considering what's at stake.

It is. And their chief operating officer mentioned both players by name multiple times publicly, and the franchise hosted both players in their own building conveniently in the same season that they are hoping to draft them. They've been the furthest thing from subtle about it. I don't care that they are doing this. We all know they should be doing this. They also should just own it and stop insulting everybody's intelligence. |
