Color me a fan that wants home ice throughout the entire eastern conference rounds.
Don't think they can beat Montreal, with Montreal having the home ice, two years in a row. That's just an example. - MidnightMarauder
MM I wouldn't mind it, but I just think it really doesn't mean much unless the Rangers are playing well. Now the best scenario is home ice throughout and the Rangers playing well of course. I think we can all hope that happens. |

The Caps catch the Islanders (which is a real possibility), and the Habs or Lightning catch the Rangers. Or, the Rangers stay in first, and the Bruins and Caps catch the Islanders. Or, Pitt gets piping hot, the Rangers go in the tank, and the Rangers and Isles play in the 2-3.

Montreal wins the conference and Washington surpasses the islanders? - rangerdanger94
I don't think the Capitals will catch them or Pittsburgh. I think Washington and Boston are the likely wild card teams.
Not saying Boston is better than the Rangers, because I wholeheartedly don't believe that, but judging from what went down Saturday I don't want any part of that team. The things the Bruins will get away with will be borderline criminal. |

Its not gunna matter who we play if hank is still real rusty. AV needs to go with Hank the rest of the way IMO. |

Pitt vs Washingnton
NYR vs NYI
Tampa vs Detroit
Montreal vs Boston
Can the first round match ups get any better than that? Rivalries galore. |

No, I am aware that anything can happen, I just don't think the Rangers lose first place and the Capitals jump ahead of the Islanders. |

Caps will catch the Isles imo. Isles are in a tail spin and should've lost against Detroit if Detroit had even mediocre goaltending. |

You really want to face the Islanders in the first round? I won't like that one bit. Us fellow New York native Rangers fans will NEVER live down a playoff series loss to the Islanders.
I mean ever. |

Capitals have been going at a .500 clip for the last three weeks. If the Rangers didn't gift wrap two goals, in the third period, they could have lost yesterday too. |

Detroit is in an interesting spot right now. Boston could catch them, and if they lose to the Sens tomorrow night, they might have start panicking a little. Detroit has not played well in quite some time. |

There isn't a team in the east playoff bound with a worse defense and coaching than the islanders. |

I don't think Hank will be off his game for too much longer. He got stronger as the Bruin game went along. Rough first period but the whole team looked like they were on some strong peyote in the first period against the Bruins. |

The Penguins defense is horrendous especially if Letang isn't right due to the concussion he suffered. |

True but they are still dangerous to me. Their offense has been in the toilet, aside from yesterday. I don't think that will continue for much longer. |

I agree he did look more comfortable as the game wore on. 7 straight tho is not a ton of work for Hank coming off a 2 month break. RIDE HIM OUT AV |
