The Penguins defense is horrendous especially if Letang isn't right due to the concussion he suffered.
- MidnightMarauder

I didn't think much of the Penguins defense until I realized they're 9th in GA. Nothing to write home about, but better than I thought. If they can get healthy, Letang, Martin, Erhoff are a nice top 3.

The goals against ranking is actually a credit to the strong season Fleury's had. I don't think much of that is attributed to how strong their blueline is. Maata being out all year was a huge blow. Penguins, even at full health, look like the easier of the first round draws.

I don't think there's many easy draws in the first round. It seems like the pens are virtually impossible for the Rangers to draw though anyway.

What would you guys think of Detroit as a first round draw? They really aren't playing well right now, and the Bruins are nipping at their heels.

Currently, they're the team I would like to play. Ask me again next week and it could be a different story. Howard to me does not have what it takes to thrive in the playoffs.

I would take them over the Bruins that's for sure.

Not necessarily, they have the same amount of points as the Islanders. I have a gut feeling the Rangers are finishing first in the division, second in the conference and will face the Capitals in the first round.

I would absolutely love that draw. The Rangers lost two games but they were in each of those games and barely lost them. If the Rangers are on their A game the Wings defense won't be able to handle their team speed.

I think isles will play under .500 hockey from here on out while Pitt will continue to win, as will Washington.

Not saying I want the isles in round 1, but I think that's who we get.

Don't lie, you're dying for that match up, haha.

I am confident the Rangers can beat any Eastern Conference team but there are definitely certain teams I prefer to see the Rangers play, without question.

Luckily the cap hit is only for 1 more year. So hate him or love him (Tom looking at you) he will be gone after next season
- TPC

1 more year on Boyle or not, hell of a lot for a PP QB that doesn't produce signed through 2016.

I'll say one thing, the playoffs can go along way to either reinforcing or changing perceptions of a player. Boyle will get his chance to still earn that contract coming in a couple of weeks, regardless of how average he has been. As will MSL and others. Really curious to see what this playoff season brings.

BOS is believed to be front runner amongst teams interested in Miami (Ohio) UFA Austin Czarnik. Deal not done yet, tho.

Who sits? Glass, Sheppard, Fast? I'm guessing Sheppard

They can't sit fast no way. Sheppard really hasn't shown me much recently. Glass still brings a few things the lineup wouldn't have without him. My guess would be Sheppard sits

I forgot to add AV's whipping boy Miller, but I agree its going to be Sheppard. No way its Fast or Miller and if AV was happy keeping Glass in the lineup when he was useless, now that he is playing a little better I highly doubt he comes out.

I like Letang, so I hope they don't rush him back for the playoffs if he still has concussion symptoms. Just not worth it.
