35 goal scorer, 80 point player. Thank you very much.
Has Montreal had an 80 point player recently?

Ah right, Kovalev 8 years ago.

- mykokes

Doesn't seem to be a problem for them.

How many times does the Leafs made the playoffs in the last 10 years while have an 80 points player on the team?

Ah right, once. In a shortened season. Thank you very much.

The Avs would never give a 1st + Ryan O'Reilly for Kessel.
- Pecafan Fan

oh right.. Kessel is a leaf

Kessel for RoR doesnt work for me.. i want more for kessel to move him.. and a 1st thats currently 9th in 2015...meh..probably too much..but thats what I would ask for

if the Leafs are rebuilding im not sure why ROR would be a target.

Obviously (for now anyway). They'd probably offer a prospect or two. But not the a 1st round pick imho.
- Pecafan Fan

Wow two prospects is such a big difference than a 9th or 10th pick

We don't have a Price in goal, or a Markov and Subban on d. You know better man, as much as its everybodies favourite past time to hate on a leaf player, in a different situation, on a different team they just might be better than you think.

I hate everything about this Leaf team for example, but I know one season doesn't change the fact that Kessel is an elite scoring RW.

Everyone is saying this is a very deep draft with a lot of very good players in the first round.... no?

i think adding a 24 year old is fine... I am not sure, but I am not seeing a 10 year rebuild .. 3 or 4 to get back on track

it's on the margins but i guess it's ok. don't really think you can put a timeline on it to be honest because it's impossible to know how the development of the young guys will go. a few draft home runs can really speed things up, whereas some big misses can set things back.

Kessel getting 80 points and 30+ goals on Leafs=poop

If the Habs had a player who got 80 points every year and 30 goals they would be calling him the best player in the NHL. I have talks to Habs fans saying Plekanic can keep up to the likes of Bergeron, Tavares, Backstrom in the east for the playoffs

Adding a 24 year old would speed things up...

I think teams have learned that having a core of 20-22 year olds is a toxic environment.(Edmonton Oilers)

Jagr only needs four more points to hit 1800. Go Jags!

He should sign with the Pens next time he's a fa, play with sid and geno. Would cut his time to 2000 in half.

More likely to trade what they know they have or don't have as opposed to what they might get.
