Four 1st round picks, Two 2nd round picks, and last year's #2 overall pick
That's obscene
No GM would ever do that
U might get something like Reinhart plus our 1st this year.
But I'd seriously doubt anyone trades out of the #1 or #2 pick
I could see some movement in the 3-6 area though - jdfitz77
It would be more than that but no team is trading #1 |

We'll trade you the entire roster of Buffalo and Rochester and keep paying all of them for McDavid.
Because he alone can win the stanley cup, right?
...RIGHT? |

Ya, I guess it's tough to say what it would take.
I'd think Eichel + Reinhart would be enough to get McDavid, but who knows?
And like u said, extremely doubtful #1 is traded. Almost never happens.
I also doubt #2 would get traded. |

Even trading Reinhart would be a step back. Good chance even up to the 4th pick would be as good or better than Reinhart. Rather keep both and kick ass. |

We should not cheer for the Buffalo Sabres tonight. If we do, _________.

I may have to err on the side of Reinhardt with Strome/marner would be better than some crazy deal |

Correct and if Murray as as good of a scout as he claimes to be then he should be able to make those picks worth while.
Now if we trade like a compher im fine with that. Have a feeling Zach Fucale will be a see the Sabres could have drafted him kind of guy |

Exactly, to be honest I kinda like his style of play more, granted I love them both. Fans will really like seeing him throw is body around. |

That's probably what it would take, though.
All the chips the Sabres have to offer are past, present and future 1st round picks at this point.
When the Nords traded Lindros, the Flyers and the Rangers both offered up a slew of good veteran players plus draft picks. They ended up getting Mike Ricci (a very good young 3rd line center), Steve Duchesne (a very good offensive defenseman), Ron Hextall (a legit #1 goalie), probably a couple of other veteran players I can't remember, plus a high 1st round pick that turned into Peter F-in Forsberg. And they got all that with a gun to their head.
In other words, a team ponying up for McDavid would have to give up a bunch of win-now type assets (none of which the Sabres obviously now have) plus a very high pick or top prospect or two. Otherwise, why bother? Now if they still had of Miller, Vanek and Ehrhoff, plus the #2 pick, then they'd be in business. |

The problem with this is that there wasn't an Eichel at 2 in the Lindros draft (as far as I know)

Has anybody given any thought to what combination of losses by Buffalo, and wins by Arizona, will result in a guarantee that Buffalo finishes last? You could call it the "Special Number" or something like that?
Asking for a friend who really likes discussions like this. - Der Kaiser
The magic number is actually 3 multiplied by Pi. Or 9.42477796077.
2-1 yotes in a SO. Gionta scores with 9 seconds left. And I hunt him down and forcefully shave off his goatee.

If you lose out on McDavid you take Echiel and keep the other assets no? I would anyways... It would cost too much |

I like how last week Reinhart was compared to malkin and toews now he is just an add in on a trade by those same people

Hmmm.. I like the thought of keeping him and having our unique player instead of someone elses. Why would they trade for him. Seems we would lose quality and gain quantity. Backwards thinking of what TM has said earlier. |
