Just got home from hockey, and lost 10-7. It's a point/period style playoffs, so we managed 1/5. In 4 games we have 15.5/20 points.

I feel like the Sabres (in a way), because our destiny is resting on a team losing tomorrow. If they lose overall, we make it to the championship.

Back on the Sabres:

We need to find a taller bridge. I honestly think I could survive a plunge off the Peace Bridge. Maybe the American Falls side, or Rainbow bridge?

I think its very realistic given the remainder of our schedule to go 1-3-1. Losing in OT to NYI and beating Carolina.

So we just need Arizona to get one point in the next 5 games. I think they can sneak a point out in the Sharks series. I also think its possible they sneak out a point in the Nucks game.

Definitely not a comfortable position anymore... But we have to remember we have been on the bottom all year and the wins against Toronto and Arizona were against arguably the two other god awful teams in the NHL. Its pretty realistic that we got 0-4-1 as well.

I don't see the Sabres winning another game. They have looked good in their last few games against other teams that have negative Corsi's since the trade deadline. The only team they could conceivably beat of their remaining 5 games is Carolina and they happen to be the 2nd best since the deadline. I'm not happy with the win tonight, but I think after this weekend we will all be singing a different tune when the Yotes are up 4 points with 3 games left.

Arizona will not get another point for the rest of the season, if this team doesn't finish last they should terminate the contracts of the entire roster, beating the Leafs in regulation, this is just ridiculous.

Leave it to a Buffalo Sports team to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Not exactly the right quote to fit the mood but you get the idea.
