Strome is a year younger, so yeah you might be right about him possibly being better. I guess we will wait and see till all these boys lace em up in the show.
My prediction
Mcdavid-Buffalo
Eichel-Arizona
Hannafin-Edmonton
Strome-Toronto - Carubba-Kaleta
I have pretty much trained myself to think McDavid will not be in Buffalo so expectations wont be down too much haha.
I see
McDavid: Ari, Tor, Carolina
Eichel: Arizona
Strome: Buffalo
Hanafin - Edm
McDavid will be a crap shoot. I always said the sabres pull off same thing as FLA did. Finish last for a year but select 2nd and then finish not last but win the lottery.
Thats the hope but I am a little worried about the team for obvious reasons. Hopefully ARI snags a win from SJS and CGY and then we should be in a good spot to win. Having McDavid would put Buffalo on the map though. Having him in Arizona or Carolina is just a crying shame. Only team I would want him on if not Buffalo is Columbus cause i dont hate them haha |

I guess you prefer the glass half empty mentality then. Boo whooo buffalo has always sucked we will never get anyone good. They will finish 29th and draft hanifin 3rd overall. Then miss the playoffs for five more years followed by five years of first round losses. Waaaaaa my name is eor and I couldn't get laid in a whore house with a handful of fifties. That more your style guy? - Carubba-Kaleta

I'd love that predicition. Not gonna lie I want McDavid the most by a lot. Eichel next and then Strome. But I'm not going to hate Buffalo and freak out and stop chearing for them if we end up with Strome. He will have a fantastic career and will still probably be the best player on offense for the Sabres.
One thing I see from the current Sabres is that there is no give up. This isn't the same suck sisters that didn't care about giving it there all every night. So its exciting to know that the roster next year will be much better filled with kids wanting to prove something. - Smittyx36
Strome / Reinhart / Girgensons will still probably be dominant in a few years. McDavid / Eichel would probably speed that up and raise the ceiling on it, however. |

More of a realist.... Where was this effort from day one? That says something about this team too.... Played like high schoolers for 70 games and all of a sudden they turn on the juice just to spite the fans? And that does not bother you? Why were they full of QUIT for 70 games? The little smart a$$ comments are not called for punk.... |

Oh ok so its fine for you to comment however you want I guess. When did they turn it up they beat a two teams that are horrible and not trying. I don't see how they have gotten any better. That will become obvious to you after this weekend. Your not being a realist sorry to burst your bubble its pessimism. A realist would say well they are still in 30th and can't beat anyone good. |

I'm not saying Strome isn't really good or anything, and will probably be one of if not our best player in a few years, but lets not go and pretend he's Eichel or anything just because we might not pick top two.

I agree 100% with the above.
My theory is that Bettman (former owner/ruler/emperor) of the Arizona Coyotes wants to give the Coyotes one of the two franchise players. He wants to keep the desert dogs in the desert so that there is a natural geographic rivalry with Las Vegas in 2 to 3 years.

Your opinions don't bother me... the smart a$$ remark did... No need for that... And by the way... Check back for 9 years.. I have never told anyone their opinion does not count...... Oh in case you did not notice... I am the only one on here predicting they will win out this season..... How pessimistic is that? |

Awww you can't take a joke that sucks. Predicting they will win out is pessimistic or antagonistic. Youre saying it to the contrary of what everyone wants. We can go round and round all day but I digress agree to disagree my man. |

Ok guess I'll have to be more specific, they can't beat good teams on a consistent basis without puck luck. Better? |

I don't think anyone said that. I mean, I hope not. I still think Strome gets drafted 1st overall last year, 2nd overall in 2013, 1st overall in 2012, 1st overall in 2011 and 1-3 in 2010. |

They're 7 points from 9th place Ottawa, I wouldn't remotely call that close to being out of the playoffs. It'd be great if they were, but they'll easily be in. - BackSlider

Also, AZ plays Anaheim last game of the season. Ana has the division and 1st place locked up. Its possible they rest all the starters. |

Well I read a few comments like "Strome could be better than Eichel in a few years", "The gap between Eichel and Strome is closer than the one between McDavid and Eichel", "Strome is younger so he may be better"

I have a bootleg from 77 in which they play Animals and Wish You Were Here in set one and 2. |

It will be funny when Strome has a better career than Eichel. The gap between Eichel and Strome is closer than the one between McDavid and Eichel.
Strome has only increased his position this year. The kid is better than Reinhart and can do it all. Only thing i think he lacks is elite speed witch eichel has. I'm not hating on Eichel but lets not pretend that Eichel is right there with McDavid because he isn't. McDavid is more than a generational talent. He is the future of the League.
